And it's not a complete fail either, because we did steal a point from one of those loses, and the other we almost came back from a 4 goal deficit. Not to shabby if you ask me.

The Vanek/Goose/Grier line wouldn't have much scoring to be honest. Vanek needs some sort of passer to accompany him.

It could be a decent line, but take away Goose and insert Roy and it could do fine, or Connolly.

With Vanek camped at the net, he needs a good passer like that PP goal last night, or some good rebounds from others like our D-men.

Fast with the puck is what I meant. Vanek needs a player that can move the puck down ice so he can camp in the slot.

I agree, 7 game road trip and this is the area I expected them to weaken up a bit. My concern is their continued issues in the 1st period, although this game against LA they came out much better, but against ATL, NYI they didn't, PHX they did, then ANA and LA they just didn't capitalize.

I am content with where they are in the standings, I still want that ever elusive Stanley Cup however, so I would think if a real deal can be made either prior to the olympics or at the deadline to get that RWer so deperately needed I hope they do it. On that note, if it is MacArthur who is odd man out, I don't see a problem bringing Gerbe up if needed.
