I don't know really, they need to take Body Fat into that equation if they don't already.

No, it doesn't, or at least it didn't when I took some class last semester. That's why it's kind of stupid/inaccurate.

Edit:
I don't think it takes gender into account, either. :doh: At least, I don't remember doing so, and the online calculators certainly don't. It's just height and weight. That said, a guy my height and weight would still definitely be healthy, just rather thin.

don't forget body fat percentage is not the be all end all. being fat is just as bad as being scrawny half the time. no muscle is no muscle. though fat has more long term health risks, too skinny and too fat are both forms of out of shape.

I'm out of shape, but I'm not exactly the skinniest of people. I'm small, but I'm active to say the least, well was more active in High School.

i take it was this

if a goalie has a GAA of 5, they a lot of people would say he sucks

however, if his save percentage was .980, he would be viewed an an all star olympian

point is, just like looking at players, you cant look at one stat by itself, you need BMI and Fat percentage and all the other stats, to make an accurate(ish) guess
