If the fire alarm in my dorm goes off one more time, I'm going to kill someone.

Went off yesterday at 5:30 in the afternoon. Yeah, during dinner, and downstairs is the cafeteria. Why did it go off? Technical malfunction. No reason.

Same thing today at 8:30 in the morning. i was going to sleep in till 10:00. Nooooope.

Well. At least yesterday I had a nice snowball fight while waiting to go back inside, and this morning I entertained the masses with my bright green coat over bright blue bathrobe over red plaid pajama pants, while wearing sparkly silver flats that are covered in oversized glitter/small sequins/whateverIdon'teven knowbutI'vehadthemforyearsandthey'reawesome.

Of course, neither of these count as a fire drill. We're still going to have one of those at 2:30 in the morning some night.

It's a good thing we never had a serious fire in my dorm in college. I slept through numerous fire drills. Loud, blaring alarms. RA's pounding on my door.

holy crap hockey game history for me tonight..

last night, bloomington and flint played. the blood was so bad, the two teams had 9 fights in the third period alone.

so tonight, 1 minute in, a small fight began. nothing too huge. bout 4 minutes in, the generals sent in a goon. he makes a b-line right for the goalie. he doesnt crush him, but pushes him over, then falls on him. fight ensues, and its a dandy. another fight breaks out, its too, a good one. refs sort it out. im sitting 6 rows behind the benches.

a general player then left the bench, just fucking berserk, and goes at a bloomington player. the ref tackles the general. it was nuts.

suddenly, a bloomington player, sitting in the middle of his bench starts screaming at the generals coach. he keeps screaming, then makes a mad dash to the glass in between the benches. this pisses off a general player, so he dashes to the glass, and they start fighting, on their benches, reaching around the division glass. players from both teams decide to get involved, so they push and push, but they cant get to anyone. finally, a bloomington player tries to climb the glass, is unsuccessful, so he tries pushing it over. finally, he yanks the glass out, and THROWS IT AT THE GENERALS PLAYERS!! so a huge brawl ensues, with players jumping on the other benches, and brawling, BUT NEVER LEAVING THE BENCHES. finally, we see sticks a flying over each others heads and other guys. finally, after several minutes, things die down. and its the coaches turn, who have to be restrained from going at each other. they almost fought in last nights game too. several fights broke out the rest of the game, a super chippy game, but i never saw that before.

heres a picture i got after most of the fighting ended.

but we coughed up a late two goal lead, and we lost in OT... :(

hopefully, this keeps fans coming out. they averaged 1300 fans a game... tonight they had 3600. the arena holds 4100... in the 90s, it was sold out all season long.

Breakfast at a friend's house tomorrow. :D

I wish that they didn't make it basically impossible to live off campus. In order to do so, you gotta be either over the age of twenty-three or married. There's a group of six guys living in a house because they're all super seniors... That's where I'm headed.

You should at least see some sort of increase in fan numbers after that game, for a period of time.

That was epic.

At my school its pretty common to live off campus after first year. I've got a house (jeez i should make a thread about it, it's so awesome!) that we've signed a lease agreement on for next year. It's fairly close but in a perfect student ghetto

Yeah, mine likes the money too much. Grrrr. I could graduate from here debt-free if I could live in an apartment off-campus and graduate in six years instead of four, but noooooo, gotta live on campus and graduate in four and leave with debt that is comparable to what I would have if I bought a small house. :x

There are so many beautiful houses around here, too, with really cheap rent. It's a little infuriating.

I just did math homework for the first time since high school.

...It was Venn diagrams. I did that crap when I was eleven. That class is going to be so boring, but I just wanted an easy math class so I could focus on my other classes and just get this one out of the way.

LOVE the rest of them. Adore them. Adolescent Psych is the best... I've only had two classes, but it's really helping me come full circle in the "what do you want to be when you grow up?" discussion. I'm back to where I was when I was fourteen, wanting to be a child and adolescent psychologist. That's the first thing that I wanted to be that wasn't some random thing such as... well, before that it was only either a prosecutor or a record producer (wat). I was pleased, too, to go over the things we've done so far and find that others share the same beliefs that I do regarding treatment, people who have much more credibility than I. Just wish I didn't have to be 21 to mentor kids. There's a good program in Buffalo to mentor kids in the foster care system (which is really where my heart has always been, since I was ten), but you gotta be 21. Still have a year to go... I'm not graduated, anyway. In the mean time, there are trips to Gary to volunteer at the Boys and Girls Club with friends (one of my friends got lost there once and passed a sign for an air show that said "Gary Air" and couldn't stop laughing when she told me about this because we all have juvenile senses of humor at times... Gary Air = derriere durrr).

Also Adolescent Psych has no outside work except for reading and no tests or exams. AMAZING. There's just a quiz every Wednesday.

Yeah, anyway.

I need to find a bassist and drummer to do some impromptu blues jammin'.

I would like to be able to start some sort of blues trio.
