In this, the sixth game of this season-long seven game roadie, the Sabres take on the Sharks of San Jose. It's another late fucking night for us WNYers and other Easties who are used to a prompt and punctual seven o'clock start.

Lately, the Sabres have been scoring goals, but it's been at the expense of defense. The guys aren't playing around Miller nearly as well, and it's resulting in less lop-sided games (save the fluky goals in Phoenix) and in more 4-3 games and the like. Where are the Sabres who were shelling the opposition early in the season and allowing nil chances against?

Meanwhile, the Sharks continue to play like the Sharks have since acquiring Big Joe - regular season power houses who always manage to choke in the postseason. Maybe the addition of Dany Heatley will finally give them the talent to go along with the impetus to win. The problem is, the Sharks rely on this new top line (featuring deposed former captain Patrick Marleau on the other wing) far too much.

Look for Lindy to play a tired Myers and Tallinder possibly too much again (they looked absolutely exhausted against LA), and keep an eye on Connolly's points-in-consecutive-games streak. He's only three away from Dave Andreychuk's streak, and four from tying Gilbert Perreault's team record of 18.

Pumped for this one. Hopefully they show up with their A game. Want to have a real good showing against this team. Unfortunately, the Sabres seem to struggle most of the time against teams with top-heavy top lines. When the key of the game is "Shut down X", the Sabres either let in multiple goals from the feared line, or get shelled by third and fourth line players. A shutout against the Caps seems to be one of the few exceptions.

7:00 may be your normal Sabres gametime....It's 8:30 for me..So I'm up until 2ish for the west games.

As many of ya'll said, I also have a bad feeling about the Sharks.

Should be a good game, though. I think it'll be similar to the Kings game in that it'll be fast paced, and end to end. But that probably doesn't bode well for Buffalo.....

I love 'em...should be a kick-ass GDT.
