Laraque is basically the same player as Peters. Not going to play that much, doesn't really have a skill other than racking up PIMs.

Not sure why you'd pick the guy up and pay him to play 4-6 shifts every other week.

Laraque is the most talented heavyweight left in the league. he is far better than Peters. I love the guy, but he doesn't fit in here. and he is a good playoff performer.

It's kind of snooty of Price to demand and require custom made jerseys, IMO.

Really? You find a goalie asking for equipment his way snooty. Goalies are fucking weird. Give them whatever the fuck they "need" to stop the puck. If he wants a different cut to his jersey than so be it. Do you know how many NHLers have special requirements for some piece of their equipment? Close to all of them.

It's just kind of lame that they have to tailor his equipment so his fairy wings can fit through it.

Yeah that it is pretty lame. I hate thse extra bulges goalies have. They have them in the most random places on some pieces of equipment. When you first look at it your like you'll never even stop a puck there but they do because of those extra bulges. Like on the side of pants and on the outside of the catching gloves. Little things like those need to be taken out of the game.

People don't like Price because he is the goaltender version of Crosby in terms of hype, except he doesn't actually have the talent to back it up and may not even be the best goaltender on his own team.

Kid has all the talent in the world. Its his competiveness. He's too relaxed and effortless. But he moves well laterally has great vision and fast hands. As Irony(I think) said he was rushed in by Gainey. Carbonneau was right they should have waited out the season and let him compete for the job the next year.

Then please explain to me then why Jaroslav Halak is nearly as young, yet has performed better every year he's been in the league with Price. (though I wouldn't count 07-08)

Couldnt tell you. Could be a number of things. Confidence. Price probably has none as the fanbase hyped him up and let Halak quietly progress. Could be team chemistry. Maybe the boys dont like Price. Everytime I watch the Habs they play better with Halak in net. Not to mention the fact that Price played more against the tougher teams and Halak came in against the lower seeded teams( not so much this year as they've gone back and forth. Dont let the numbers fool you Price is their guy and has loads more talent than Halak. Maybe when you have a team in a party city like Montreal you shouldnt bring up a 20 year old kid to man the fort. Too many temptations.

Carey pissed big George off, so he had to pay the Price.

Looks like Laraque isn't too pleased with the Habs deciding to part ways with him...

I would be happy with that either, Bob Gainey is a friggin asshole doing this to him when he is trying to help out his some of his family in Haiti. He should at least waited for him to come back before doing this.
