Old Buffalo homes are amazing in architecture. So glad to see one replicated and not razed and replaced by some home-in-a box.

It is said that there is no other place in the country with the exception of maybe Chicago where more world renowned architects works are still standing than in Buffalo.

Tom - Since I missed the beginning, what is it that this woman is doing for the community that earned her this awesomeness?

although her house was trying to fix up her house she would take time out to help neighbors fix theirs, clean up abandon houses, cut grass of vacant lots, etc

She's worked multiple jobs to support her family and fix the house, but has also been very active with PUSH Buffalo trying to improve housing for others.

She's also found ways to donate shoes back to her family in Jamaica.

Very selfless woman.

I'm sure we'll figure it out. My youngest son's school had the first of its kind sneaker drive 2 years ago. All rubber soled sneakers went back to NIKE and they where used to make that ground up stuff on running tracks. I've never seen or heard of the program again, but have hung on to all of our shoes so they don't sit in a landfill.

we have more posts in this thread than the WSOD had in their GDTs over the past few months
