couldnt the sabres send him down to "mentor" enroth? whats the worst that can happen? he gets claimed?

yes, they could but the issue arises that Buffalo then needs another goalie since the top 2 back ups are both in Portland. granted, this could be fixed with the timely addition of Biron but im not holding my breath.

In addition to that it puts Portland in a goalie log jam.

Biron won't be moved until atleast mid February...Eklund is full of shit, and he knows it.

The move makes sense, but at the same time the Islanders aren't giving him away for free. Dipietro isn't exactly and ironman.

I had a dream about that movie last night. Good flick.

So this whole Biron move..You guys want this for down the stretch yes? Because we really won't need him in the playoffs.

Honestly...I think if we were to trade in Lalime for another backup, fans would be really disappointed and surprised to see that we get similar results...

Meh, it's debatable whether he is a bonafide starter but I was refferring to him as a rental backup. Although I don't support this whole idea of "adding goalie depth". I think we're fine where we are.

Not a bad idea, but my dream of Moose took a dive when Lehtonen got assigned to Chicago (AHL) for conditioning.
