The left coast...as usual, has not been kind to the Sabres.
I'm not holding my breath for a W tonight against a very solid Canucks team.

I'm kinda glad I've had to work and not able to watch these games, although it seem like they have played well.

Its really funny because my only recollection of how the language sounded came from this commercial. I thought about the tempo and choppiness in which Miller was talking and it helped me with my pronounciations the first day. No joke :P

These are the wings they eat in Vancouver:

Conclusion: Sabres win, and win big.

I'll actually be glad when the Sabres get home, not just for their standings, but for my own personal gain. I've gotten so used to games starting at 4:00 PM my time and being able to basically record then watch them at my leisure throughout, that I have a hard time handling a 7:00 or 7:30 start. You have to watch it live unless you want to stay up late, and then there's no fast-forwarding through commercials, and no wind-down time. I don't you how I used to do it when I lived on the east coast.

Whoever came up with that combo just earned a cockpunch.
I feel nauseous just looking at that.

I can swear in Cantonese like a native speaker

Also useful; I learned how to say "white boy" in both Cantonese and Mandarin so I know when people are talking about me ;)
I totally busted my mother-in-law once at dim sum.

It's the final game of the season-high seven game roadie, and the Sabres are looking to finish on a high note against one of the best in the league - the Canucks. No longer just "a bunch of random dudes, the Sedins, and Roberto Luongo", the Canucks know how to score now - especially the line of D. Sedin, H. Sedin, and Alexandre Burrows. But the Sabres are bringing their own firepower in the form of Hecht, Connolly, and Pominville, with possibly the best goaltender in the world behind them.

Connolly and his linemates have been white hot since they were re-assembled, and it shows - the Sabres have increased their goals-for per game by about a goal a game. It has come at the defense's expense, but it has shown that the Sabres now know how to win games in a variety of ways.

Unfortunately, nothing could get the Sabres a win in sunny California, despite playing better in three straight losses than they did in a handful of wins this season. Perhaps the Blue and Gold can eke out another win against the Canucks like they did last season: a 5-2 thrashing at home, featuring a spirited bout between Andrew Peters and nemesis Darcy Hordichuk.

For fun, keep track of the points Hecht-Connolly-Pominville put up against the 'Nucks. Another point, and Connolly brings his personal-best point streak to 16 games (only two shy of Gilbert Perreault). Look for Myers and Tallinder to play less time, as Lindy Ruff may have witnessed just how much it takes to overwork the top pair.

Did not know there was a quality difference between GD threads. That's what I get for avoiding them I guess.
