This reminds me of the time that my dad, my brother and I went to Woodlawn Beach. There was a dead fish further down, and we went to go look at it. So we're standing there looking at it, and when someone else would come over, my brother would ask, "Are you gonna eat that?" Of course everyone's like " no!" Well at the one point this boy and his mom come over and my brother again says, "Are you gonna eat that?" " Ew, no!!!!" Then my dad goes, " Oh come on, there's plenty for everyone!" And the boy's mom goes " You can't eat that! You don't know where that's been!!"

So now the joke, "There's plenty for everyone!"

Oh I see, so despite the fact that he did exactly what the OP had asked for, you now feel free to interpret INTENT, and warn someone because of it? In actuality, you're saying that no one who isn't PRO CHRISTIAN, or at least planning to talk about only positive things is allowed to discuss bible verses. Pants posted some legitimate bible verses, and quite frankly i'd have liked to discuss a few of them. Instead we were told in no uncertain terms that would not be acceptable.

I just wanna throw this out there for all my fellow non-believers...
I read an excellent blog called Stupid Evil Bastard (http://www.stupidevilbastard.com) and recently the author put up a post detailing the efforts Richard Dawkins and 13 other free-thought organizations have put in to help Haiti. He's got a list of atheist-friendly organizations to donate to, too.

Why would that be necessary, can you not fully defend your actions? And you still havent answered the questions in my original post. As a believer in evolution will I be afforded the same privileges our christian members enjoy? Are you going to monitor those threads, making sure everyone "respects" them? Are you going to go in there and carefully interpret everyones "intent"? Well, are you?

Hm, and now i've started a serious thread in order to get some answers, and you (and other mods, squanto and SG) take pleasure in hijacking it. Now, how is this not a double standard? You're not respecting the thread. Can you explain why this is not hypocrisy?

Pushing your atheism on someone is about as stupid as pushing their religion on you.

I think antagonism is not the word we're looking for here. Intolerance seems to fit better.

It's REALLY obvious that someone went into the Christian thread with the intent to cause a disturbance. It was made clear that the intent wasn't to discount passages, but to re-affirm them.

The REAL childish shit started when some of our more mature posters created more stupid, childish threads to stir the pot after they were asked to be mature.
