Here's how they ranked them.

    1. Boise State 43, Oklahoma 42 (OT): 2007 Fiesta Bowl
    2. Texas 41, USC 38: 2006 Rose Bowl
    3. Ohio State 31, Miami 24 (OT): 2003 Fiesta Bowl
    4. Ohio State 42, Michigan 39: Nov 18, 2006
    5. USC 34, Notre Dame 31: Oct 15, 2005
    6. Texas Tech 39, Texas 33: Nov 1, 2008
    7. Arkansas 58, Ole Miss 56: Nov 3, 2001
    8. LSU 28, Florida 24: Nov, 2007
    9. Cincinnati 45, Pitt 44: Dec 5, 2009
    10. Northwestern 54, Michigan 51: Nov 5, 2000

I completely agree with the top choice of BSU vs. OU, and would go further to say that it was unquestionably the greatest football game ever played, period. After the Top 3, though, there are some very questionable selections (Arkansas vs Ole Miss??).

I would have definitely added the 2005 Rose Bowl, when Vince Young and Texas beat Michigan 38-37 with a field goal on the game's final play, and the 2009 Fiesta Bowl when Texas edged Ohio State 24-21 on a clutch McCoy TD pass with just seconds remaining.

how many times do we have to go over that game? that game was not a shocker. app state was number 1, and it was widely speculated they would have beaten a number of top 10 teams.

Certainly worthy of discussion. I'd also consider Navy's 1st win over Notre Dame worthy of a nod.

It's not an upset list, its a best games list and one way or another that was a very good game.

Either way, that's what you get when you schedule FCS teams regularly, regardless of how good their are within their subdivision.

Time to demote the Big Ten and move the MAC or Mountain West into the BCS discussion.

FCS contact large schools for exposure. michigan doesnt actively seek out that match-up. those schools pay huge money to play in the big house. and they get their moneys worth. SEC does this too, as does the big 12.

the big 10 is fine, remember a few years ago when the SEC was on a downward trend? its all reciprocal. many people already are predicting a 10 win season by michigan, and 9 wins by MSU this upcoming season.

the big 10 is also the founding conference, they arnt going anywhere.

Fine, but the rest of the big ten's out of conference schedule was seriously weak. Penn St. wouldn't have been national championship worthy if they had gone undefeated and everyone else had TWO losses.

the conference beats each other up. theres no real explosive team head and shoulders above the rest.

App State has a football program very comparable to the nations top teams. they are a very good football program, and has been for years.
