Would Mac + Bostons 3rd get us Rene Bourque

Nope, not with the season Bourque is having in Calgary.

He is two points shy of his personal best, already has his personal best in Assists and is 4 goals shy for his personal best in goals.

This is all in 46 games played by him this season also.

But if Calgary keeps sliding, and if Bourque doesn't start scoring again, it could be doable.

At the start of the season no my deal would go down but right now it could. Don't forget Mac is 4 years younger than Bourque. Its only Mac's 2nd full season and he'll score 20+ goals. If the flames continue to free-fall I culd definitely see them moving Bourque as he could get a nice raise in the off-season that the Flames may not be able to match.

Possibly, but Bourque probably won't get any better than this year that he is having.

Oh, and Mac was also benched tonight.

Meh, I think it's a numbers game more than anything at this point. I am glad Ellis and Mair played though. They showed more hustle, toughness, and muscle on the puck than Clarke would have. It simply wasn't a game that you needed a scoring forward for. I expect him back for the next game, because there will be no trap.
