ive had 5 chameleons in my life, and they are awesome pets. one, i put in a houseplant for a change of scenery... but i forgot about it. 2 days later, he was in his open cage. why? he knew thats where he would get food and water, and slowly made his way back to his cage.

Yeah, he is pretty cool. I named him Jörmungandr (Jorgi for short) after the sea serpent in Norse mythology. He can be a bit angsty at times, but overall he's a good pet.

They are lizards that have lost their legs through evolution for one reason or another. The biggest difference is the way they move. Snakes body's contort a lot, where as a legless lizard is still a lizard and has the same body structure so they don't bend nearly as much as a snake. i.e. a snake can constrict you like a Boa, but these lizards can't.
From Wikipedia:
Quote:
These lizards are often distinguishable from snakes on the basis of one or more of the following characteristics: possessing eyelids, possessing external ear openings, lack of broad belly scales, and/or a very long tail (while snakes have a long body and short tail)

In addition if you in the picture you can see a vent going down the side of it's body, that expands when he's nervous or angry. They also have a ring around the half way point of their body to signify where their body ends and their tail begins.

why is it so easy to change the beer tap but not the syrup for the pop. Man i hate changing the pop, especially since the bar committee is so lazy, and there is a huge puddle of syrup on the floor, but our bar committee is the definition of lazy, and has no desire to make anything, and continuously lose money. In the immortal words of Red Forman Dumb asses

I just signed myself up to pull all-nighters three nights next month for reasons that have absolutely nothing to do with academics, on nights when I have classes the next morning. Yay.

Exotic pet store in Asheville, NC. The guy told me that they normally go for over $100, but nobody was buying this one so he discounted it to $50. Also, idk about Michigan, but if you look hard enough around here in the mountains of NC you can find them in the wild.

This school is such a fucking joke sometimes. I missed my first class AGAIN (happened on Tuesday as well) because of the parking situation at this school. Had to park in some fucking factory parking lot in the West Side today. That coupled with the fact that people drive like imbeciles when it's snowing out, I was over 20 minutes late to my class and I hate walking into class when I'm more than 10 minutes late.

Good thing of the day: I found a book on film noir that I bought over a year ago in one of my Amazon book sprees and subsequently lost, or thought I did. It is Arts of Darkness: American Noir and the Quest for Redemption. I can finally read it!

Bad thing of the day: I found out that the Frozen Four this year will be held in Fort Wayne. WHY DO I HAVE TO KNOW THIS. Never has not having a car been more frustrating. It's like an hour away from here (just like every other city in the state). EVIL EVIL EVIL MEEAAAAN.

Hey...if people on the West Side of Buffalo broke out in spontaneous Broadway tunes, then maybe I'd reconsider my feelings about parking there.

Who said that when inflation was adjusted that Avatar would not be close to being the highest grossing movie ever?

Avatar was great, but Titanic is better... I guess it's cool that James Cameron is the one to break his own record, although I wanted Titanic to be the highest grossing film for-ev-urrr.

I said this here before, but it would be funny if Titanic re-takes the title when Cameron re-releases it in IMAX and 3D.
