He fucked up another call during a goal scored by the Flyers today. A flyers player shot the puck while Hartnell was attempting to screen Roloson but he skates directly into Roloson OBVIOUSLY preventing Roloson from sliding towards the other side of the net which results in a goal. Fraser, declares it a goal and Roloson starts getting into the face of Fraser. Fraser yells back at Roloson and adamantly declares it was a goal. Surprising, Frasers' mind was changed by another official and he declared it a no goal. I'll post video as soon as it's posted.

It's at 1:38 into the highlights.

sounds like this ass hole ref needs to retire. kind of like a forced retirement the pastor at the church down the street started to lose his congregation because he was becoming older and well lets just say he'd repeat stuff and fall asleep mid mass, or maybe that was the congregation or both. but anyway the church said goodbye and brought in a new guy which brought a lot of the congregation back. it's not where i go, i just know the story because the father is a member of the hall, and i know a few of the congregation. My cousin is a presbyterian minister and my friend a priest i usually go to one of their sermons.

Fraser is retiring at the conclusion of this regular season. He announced it during preseason.

they can't force retire him now so he doesn't fuck up any more calls. in the meanwhile. make him get a vision test. then again i have a great uncle who should not be driving but was able to pass the DMV's test.

Glad it's regular season and not playoffs because he could fuck up a whole series with 1 bad call.

Well, in all fairness that slow motion replay starting at 2:00 shows the contact was a fraction before the puck went in the net. Fraser was on the opposite side from Roloson's left skate that got the contact. Hartnell bowled Roloson over just after the fact and that was obvious, but by then the puck was in the net. From Fraser's angle I'm pretty sure he couldn't see the contact between the two players' skates, and saw the puck in the net before Roloson got plowed.

I hope I'm toward the front of the line for the "glad Fraser is gone" beatdown party, but that call was a tough one. Wrong, but a tough one to string a ref up by the nads for.

Nothing like retiring one year too late...his reputation will now be forever tainted.

Wasn't his reputation forever tainted when he missed Gretzky high-sticking Doug Gilmour right in front of him?

All refs make some bad calls during their career, but to repeatedly fuck up goal decisions like this in the instant replay era really takes some doing.

Very true. Three of this year's fuck-ups have come from Fraser alone, yes?

Any Leafs fan who remembers the 93 conference finals still wants Fraser's head on a stick from that non-call.

Hell, I was all of two years old at the time this incident took place, so obviously I can't remember anything, but I still want Fraser's head on a stick.

But c'mon, it was Wayne Gretzky...he would NEVER high stick anyone according to Fraser.
