Still no word on who they gave up. I wasn't expecting a trade for another defenseman although their defense core has been a problem this year for them, they've been taking way to many penalties. I would imagine they traded a defensemen back plus a forward or picks.

It has to be more than that probably Kessel and maybe Kadri going back to Calgary. If it is just for Hagman and Stajan Darryl Sutter is on crack.

There is no way in HELL Burke gave both of those guys. I would Imagine one and not Kessel since he busted everyones balls to get him, only to throw him away? I can def see kadri and some others going, maybe a first round pick

Apparently they have also sent Toskala to Anaheim for J.S Gigeure. This may be the solution they have in net. Seems like Burke is really trying to stack up for next year

That is all to the deal with Calgary. Im just not sure the leafs are any better. I mean their defense is the exact same besides one addition, and they gave up quite a surplus of forwards which takes away from whatever offense they had.

From what i could gather quickly Hagman, Stajan and White combined for 100 points where as Dion and Shustrum have only combined for 28

Calgary got ripped off Aulie is not bad prospect and Phaneuf is having a bad year but he will bounce back. Toronto why do you need more defense men? And now they have basically no forwards and 11 guys on d.
