One has to assume the clubs /league wanted less activity on their forums. There is no other remotely logical explanation as to why they systematically sabatoged their respective sights.

Are they so naive to think that people went there to look for promotional material as a priority over going to the forums?

Clearly it was the other way around.

There is one guy still on the old boards (Hnfjw?) who feels the old new boards will generate more interest than these boards, because those boards are official.

Nice to be a big fish in a suddenly small pond, isn't it?

I would see no reason for any of our current group to want to do something of this nature. The couple times I've gone back to see if there are any stragglers, I have not seen anything of anyone starting a pissing match. I have seen more than a few posts being critical of the old site; but that's from people who lament it's demise, not anyone from here who is making specific comparisons, or gloating.

And when you speak like this Ice; it is a reminder to me to be thankful to have you as my bodyguard!
