Aud, I truly don't think the Sabres players understand the devastation left behind from that loss to Ottawa. Each time they beat us, physically as well as on the scoreboard, it just gets worse. Here it is, over 24 hours later and I'm still inconsolable.

Fuck. I honestly want to beat the shit out of someone right now.

Oh I hear ya, ETC. All day long I had to keep myself from posting on here because it was just going to be a rant about last night’s game.

Since cooling off, am I ok with the last 2 games? Fucking hell no! Am I living with blind hope that they'll somehow feel the same rage we all felt from the last 2 games and kick the living shit out of the 'Canes? Well, I'll be sitting here with beer in hand, Sabres sweater on and calling for the other RUUTU's head! So I guess that means, yes. Yes I am living with that hope.

Not to call ya out, ETC, but one thing you've said as of late is to believe in this team and I have blue and gold in my veins. It goes without saying that I believe.

I know Lindy has had a different approach to this season with his whole, "Give'em a hug instead of a kick in the pants", take on things. But after the last 2 games, I'da LOVED to have been a fly on the wall in that locker room.

Aud, you know I'll also be right there watching in my vintage white sweater with beer in hand. Still, I am having trouble dealing with this one. Losing to Ottawa is different than any other loss. I can let every other game roll off my back, win, lose or draw, but Ottawa sticks to my ribs.

Right there with ya man. It's almost like watching them lose to the Leafs. Sure, we've more than owned them the last while, but still. Losing one to them, is like losing in the playoffs in 4 games on home ice.

lol, in NHL 10, I just HAD to play a game against the Sens. Almost every shift, all I did was fight and hit.

We beat them 8-2 :P

I played a game against Pittsburgh like that before, both teams had over 60 PIMs.

We should blow Carolina out of the arena tonight.

I'm in a pissy mood still. That Sens loss and losing at poker last night has me seething a bit. I want my Sabres to reflect my mood tonight.

Thoughts of ETC:

* I hope Lalime goes tonight. Miller badly needs a break, and I want Pat to get a home start.

* Two days later and I still can't shake the bitterness of Ottawa - or get excited for Carolina.

* I really miss Kaleta. Not having him in the lineup is depressing, and his absence really softens up an already very soft team.

* I'm absolutely done with Drew Stafford. Done. It's bad enough that in the past seven games he's got no goals, 1 assist and is a -3, but watching that coward stand there like a fucking statue after Phillips ran Miller right in front of his face was over the top. He's 6'1", 220lbs of muscle, and is a total pussy who needed rookie Tyler Myers to skate across the ice to try and fight the battle he wouldn't. Fuck the "potential" bullshit, I want him gone.

* Roy is simply too small, and turns the puck over too much, to be an elite player in the current NHL. Goals no longer are fancy, pretty plays like 2006-7, and he's not big or tough enough to score the ugly ones. If we can get something decent for him, it's time to make a trade.

I'm with ETC & Ham. The loss on Wednesday destroyed me.

On second thought, maybe it was the virtual pub afterward?

I'm sick of hearing about the Ottawa game...

1 loss, we have 3 games in hand on them, and a 1 point lead in the division.

Too much was made out of 1 game, that we lost in the last minute, on a fluke bounce off of a defenders skate onto what's his names stick...I'm beyond over it.

Buffalo shows up tonight, and throttles the Canes 5-1

Let's go with "all of the above". If only it was the Ottawa game that was virtual and the pub was real!

Where have I seen this before in a player?

coughcoughmarkmancaricoughcough.

I know he's been getting on the score sheet as of late, but the kid has size and could be somewhat of a beast. I agree with ya though ETC, Stafford needs to shit or get off the pot. As much as I hate to agree on the Ovechkin topic where he was willing to stand up for himself, I gatta. Who the hell does Stafford think he is that he's too good to not get involved in a scrum, where as Ovechkin puts up insane numbers and will get dirty if need be? Jesus, even Crosby has gotten his nose dirty from time to time. :snooty: :naughty:

Thanks. I wasn't aware that you had to wait so long. I have CI and don't pay much attention the the streams, but this is one that my son can watch on a day off at 9:30 Saturday morning. He's psyched!

Even Mancari will drop the gloves, and has already this season in Portland. He also did in his stint in Buffalo last year. Stafford thinks he's Gil Perrault.

I never knew Buffalo was in the green belt. They obviously are because for Stafford to be thinking this, he's smoking some top of the line shit!

For Stafford to think he's top line, he'd have to be living on a Columbian cocain plantation surrounded by a toxic waste dump and a meth lab...

The guy is 3rd line talent, forced into a 1st line role
