He's 6'1", 220lbs of muscle, and is a total pussy who needed rookie Tyler Myers to skate across the ice to try and fight the battle he wouldn't. Fuck the "potential" bullshit, I want him gone.

Not excited for Carolina.

Extremely disappointed with our guys still not defending Miller! He's taken a lot of abuse this season; it's been going on for too long and must stop! Interviewed yesterday on GR, our buddy Michael Peca was pretty harsh on the team for not responding.

Even if we pummel the Candy Canes, we can't measure our performance from it, because they really suck. Ho hum. :|

The Sens are 1 point behind us. If the Sabres don't rally and come out absolutely flying tonight (And then actually win the game by more than a goal), then we will not win the division.

Tonight may be the game of the year.

* I hope Lalime goes tonight. Miller badly needs a break, and I want Pat to get a home start.

* I really miss Kaleta. Not having him in the lineup is depressing, and his absence really softens up an already very soft team.

* I'm absolutely done with Drew Stafford. Done. * Roy is simply too small, and turns the puck over too much, to be an elite player in the current NHL. Goals no longer are fancy, pretty plays like 2006-7, and he's not big or tough enough to score the ugly ones. If we can get something decent for him, it's time to make a trade.

I cannot tell you how much I agree with you in words. I'm so completely done with Stafford that I don't like even seeing him on the ice. He doesn't use his body, he doesn't use his skill, he barely hustles most of the time. He's freaking useless.

I'd also like to trade Roy, and start Lalime.

Normally I'd come in here to express my hatred for the Canes, but they suck so bad I'll just say we better freakin win no matter who's in net.

Sorry Timbo, not feeling you at all on the "game of the year" business. Bleh, it has all the anticipation of the Pro Bowl. I can't ever remember being less up for a game than I am right here, right now.

Maybe alcohol will help. You know, the way it makes some homely skank at the bar look good.

It's funny you say that. I was just thinking how my hatred of Ottawa has grown so deep that I've run out of hate for everyone else. I used to really hate the Canes, regardless of record, but now I'm completely monogamous in my loathing.

Not in that way. I mean that our players need to get off the freaking mat and win this game by like 4 goals. We're better than them, we've got the Sens right behind us, and we're at home. If we don't win this game, we are done.

Ah just think of all them "Cainiacs" who will be cheering for their squad. Get liquored up and the rage will come out!

I'm not as pumped for this game as I was the Twattawa game. But considering where we're at right now, this is a big game. A game to (hopefully) get us on the right track. We need a blow out night to get the boys feeling confident. And to have Patty between the pipes in doing so, will be all the better.

Besides, they have a Ruutu. That's all that is needed for me.

That Miller is in tonight makes little sense to me. Why not let Lalime go against the NHL's worst team, at home, with Ward sitting? I know he'll probably sit Miller tomorrow, but tonight is the perfect night with Miller absolutely gassed and Lalime needing a win.

Makes too much sense, therefore it won't happen...

Stafford was the one to jump Neil on the Drury hit, though, wasn't he? So he has done it in the past.

Drew's far too sophisticated and evolved now for that primitive muss.

I was thinking the same thing.

Drew confuses me. He's shown flashes of some very impressive stuff, both physically and, for lack of a better word (or a real one for that matter), talently.

The only good thing I see in his game right now is his strength on the forecheck. Everything else has been disappointing.

I'd love to bring up Ennis and bench his ass for a couple of games.

I think Stafford's music career has gone Emo, and it has taken away from his physicality on the ice :headbang:

The only things I can think of are;

1. Carolina has looked very good as of late.
2. Try to catch Columbus in the confusion of a coaching change and beat them down with Lalime in net.

Stats under the radar:

In his last 16 games, Paul Gaustad has zero goals, zero fights and is a putrid -9.

In his first 27 games, Paul Gaustad scored 8 goals, had 3 fights and was a healthy +5.
