Who is the LAST team you want to see in the FIRST round of the playoffs?

I am torn between Ottawa & Washington.

Ottawa.

Isn't it obvious...

It will always be Ottawa.

Well, I guess Ottawa, but we still have beat them 3 out of 4 times we have met them in the postseason.

Yeah, but that last time was pretty devastating. That was the Sabre's year: Drury, Briere, Prez Trophy and all. Yet 4-1 and done courtesy of Ottawa in the ECF.

those other seasons matter nothing. absolutely nothing. thats like dreading playing the capitals because they beat the sabres in the 1998 ECF (which still chaps my ass. they had that game 6!)

I want Ottawa in the first round. The only way to kill your demons is to face them.

Washington would eliminate us in five games (at the most). The Pens would beat us, as well. New Jersey is just plain boring hockey.

Probably Washington.

Honestly, If we face the Sens in the playoffs, I wouldn't be surprised if we just snapped and run right over them.

Nothing means crap in the playoffs, ask San Jose, especially with their regular season records.

I'm not that scared of Washington come playoffs. I would hate to play Ottawa first round.

If we are playing Washington in the first round then it means that we choked so badly that we fell to the #7 or # 8 spot.

In that case we get swept in four anyway, just because the team completely collapsed.

Realistically, we are talking about Montreal, Ottawa, Pittsburgh, Boston, or Philadelphia (maybe Tampa, Atlanta or the Rangers crawl back into it).

I say bring on the Senators. Fuck all if we are going to shake in our boots before any team.

I'd love to play Ottawa first round, no joke.

If you win that series, you build a ton of confidence to go through the rest of the playoffs with.

Confronting the Demons.....

I like it.

Come to think of it, that would be a much better name than "Senators".

The "Ottawa Demons".

Washington and Ottawa have no proven playoff calibur goaltender on their roster. This makes both vulnerable, come playoff time, IMHO.

Then the Devils and Penz are your biggest worry?

Makes sense.
