Still a great game and I'm very excited for this USA team right now.

At points, I was thinking this was the MTL Canadiens out there. As a d-man, I understand you need to move the puck on and from the blueline to open up some lanes. But my god. When you spend that much time passing the puck, it almost looks like they're trying to find the perfect pass. In this tourny, it ain't gonna happen unless your a top feeder against a bottom feeder. And even THAT is pushing it.

I said it before, and I'll say it again. I have a hardon for Webbers slap shot from the point. The guy has a cannon! get that man the puck more!

O Canada!
Your sport's now American!
True patriot love in Ryan Miller's hands.
With glowing hearts we see him rise,
Screaming You can not beat me!
From far and wide, O Canada,
We laugh as you cry on your knees!
God keep your land glorious and medal free!
O Canada, we laugh and point at thee.
O Canada, we laugh and point at thee.......

I agree that Miller was the difference. In fact, that's my entire point. Canada outplayed us, thoroughly, but we still beat them on opportunism, unconscious goaltending, and maybe a little luck. Canada played very hard, but they're too tight. The pressure is really weighing on them.

Reports of Canada's demise or lack of heart are greatly exaggerated, gang. They really dominated everywhere but on the scoreboard. Not to take anything away from our win, it was remarkable, but don't think for a minute we outplayed them.

I thought he physical battles were pretty even, and defensively the US was really good. Canada got a lot of shots, sure, but for the most part the US didn't give them many good looks.

Canada's biggest problem right now is between the ears. They were told how great they were, and how they'd cruise into winning the gold. Now, they got taken to a SO by he Swiss, a team that they should have dominated, and lost to the US in another game that on paper they should have won.

All they're thinking about now is the Canadian media that screamed about anything less than a gold is a complete failure, and unless they can block that out, they're done.

The turnovers they committed tonight were unthinkable. Pronger had a brutal game.

The same can be said for Germany? That fact that the Suisse werethisclose the beating and Canada, and the US did beat them..... well..... Anything can happen. No one ever said Canada didn't have heart. We all owe them a moment of silence for inventing hockey - period ;)

Can Motzie cue up a pants on da ground for this? One of the two ALREADY has "dare pants on da ground". Nothing like a free elimination game.

Brodeur's baseball swat...that was maybe the biggest fuck up of the game, and really the only goal that I would pin on him.

Dude, don't even get me started on the hate for Pronger. I'm still amazed that he even had enough brain cells to pick up, hit the talk button and answer his phone when he got the call to play for this team. Considering he has a hard time chewing gum and walking at the same time, lol.

Chris, "Youcanparkatruckbetweenmyteeththegapissobig", Pronger.

I don't know what is worse? Pronger's teeth or Crosby's lips :?

I don't even blame him for that. 90% of the time your expecting that to be brought down with a high stick at best.

Oh no, this pants on da ground isn't for Canada, it's for either Canada or Russia who now have to go first.

Sometime on Wednesday. It will be a busy day, 4 games.

The 4 qualifier games are Tuesday, and they have a bye there.

I just hope were playing last next Sunday.

Edit: glad the alcohol police are out in full force in Vancouver. The sooner they get into your house the better.
