Who remembers when the sabres used to play every game like the Americans did last night? game in and game out we grinded and chipped and played hard nosed, bleeding face hockey?

it was only seven or eight years ago now. we never had the most talent...but the games were good. goalies making great saves, defense blocking shots, busy sticks on defense and on PK...

and seeing the look on the teams face after EVERY WIN like last night. maybe not a dogpile, but the yelling and sheer tenacity of the adrenaline from winning a game where you put it on the ice.

sad. and on a more current note, there is nothing i have ever liked more in post-lockout hockey than seeing dru and miller celebrate together. because game in and game out, they both earned that right.

Oh man, did I get nostalgic seeing Drury and Miller together as the first teammates to celebrate the win. How I fucking miss it happening in the blue and gold.

Also, it wasn't seven or eight years ago...well, it was, but it was as recent as four years ago. I miss the team that didn't know how good they were

that four years ago was nice...those dude played hard. i miss the black and red. those guys came in to play.

I think a couple of players can bring us back to that point again. We'll see.
