I'm really sorry if I disappointed or let anyone down. I can understand that, so very well.

I'm very thankful for all your kind thoughts and condolences - You crazy kids; when you're good, you're all so really very good.

Stay solid. Stay good. Be kind to each other. You're all family.

All my best.

Ice,
I had hoped your letter provided you a way to vent some of your troubles with your “ junkie family”, and you would finally be returning once again to share your humor and vast knowledge on numerous topics. I am saddened to read that you would merely be dropping in from time to time. Clearly, I am not alone when I say, you are missed.

I am also saddened to read about your father. My prayers go out to you. May he rest in eternal peace and may you find comfort in your memories shared with him.

Selfishly, I will hold tightly in my hope to your return…..much more than on a whim. ;)

With warmest regards and admiration, along with a heartfelt hug,
Terrie

Ice,
I already messaged you in private, so it would just be redundant here, so I'll keep it simple: again, my condolences on your father's passing. Losing a family member who brought you into the world is a very eviscerating experience; coupled with all of the peripheral b.s. going on in your life, it's not really a surprise (in hindsight) that you would wish to withdraw from toxic people/things which exacerbate your misery.

I wish you peace and some comfort knowing that you have a "safe place" to go if you need it.

Take care of yourself and heal up so you can put your best foot forward when you choose to venture out of your protective cocoon, wherever/whenever that may be.........

Know that people near and far are thinking of you and sending you some positive vibes. {{{Dan}}}

Ice, I probably know you the least out of everyone here, but you/your posts have always garnished the most respect. You have been the cornerstone of this community and I thank you for all you have done. I'm sorry to hear about your father and I hope everything works out for you in a personal regard. Thank you for coming back on and letting us know because most, if not all, of us were very worried.

Icehound, my man, you are a true gentleman, a scholar, and a guru of hockey wisdom. If I had to make anyone on these boards the coach of a hockey team, you sir, would be that man. I'm glad you may be in out and about from time to time, as it will just make your posts mean alot more. Good things come in moderation, and believe me, its alot easier to appreciate a win once you've been on a losing streak (not the best metaphor, but I've been awake for only the time it's taken me to write this and I don't necessarily feel the need to figure out another hockey metaphor for posting on forums in moderation :P)

Ice, I truly wish you luck on all of your ventures in life. You're a good man.

Sorry, I just got all yearbook sentimental on you

Ice,

I am very sorry to hear about the loss of your father. May he, and you, be at peace.

The wonderful heartfelt responses here are sufficient for expressing my thoughts. I suspect that an original composition would take me forever, and not be very original. Just go back and read your thread a gazillion times and soak it all in. Besides, there's a live GDT to peek in on as we speak. You know how it is, ay? ;)

As I think you know, I'm a big fan. I have been in awe of your hockey knowledge, and more importantly, I greatly admire your civility, your fairness, and your eloquent communication, all of which I will miss dearly.

To repeat what has been well said . . . You are a gentleman and a scholar.

Thank you, for you.

All the best, til we meet again.

Hey Ice (Sorry bud, I don't know you well enough to go by first names),

First off, I'm sorry to hear of the passing of your father. As with the rest of the junkies here, man, our thoughts are with you and yours during this time.

Secondly, again, much like the rest of us here, I hope you'll drop in more often to share your views & opinions on the state of our Sabres and some of the other craziness which happens to spread like wildfire over at ETC's Pub. Although we never had the chance to banter and get to know each other as I have with a lot of the other folks in this place, a lot of them, if not all, hold your views and personality in very high regard. By seeing that, let me say that a friend of theirs is a friend of mine any day of the week and twice on Sunday!

Hope everything works out for you as best it can with your life situations. When ever you feel the need to drop in from time to time even if it is as a guest, know that there are some suds going down and wings being consumed over at ETC' Pub in your honor!

Cheers, Ice!

Dan, my deepest condolences on the passing of your Dad.

I too had to step away from the board a few times due to personal reasons and I some how manage to sneak back in. If by chance you return for good, I know you'll be welcomed back warmly.
And if the comes a day where I'm kidnapped for a MnG, I hope you'll be kidnapped too ;)

You have always been one of the most helpful contributors to this forum and its previous incarnation, and I wish you nothing but the best.

My deepest condolences Dan. Its never easy to see someone go. In life and on these boards. You will be missed Ice. I will remember the rockets playoff run where you Phil Skyline and Myself followed Myers' play intently. But the thing that makes me mad is that now we don't have anyone with a full understanding of the current cba. You always came out of nowhere to clear the air. So if u could check in and correct us cba illiterate that would be appreciated.

Dan,

I am one of the many here who give their condolences for the loss of your father.

Thankfully as you have always respected our wishes, I for one respect yours in return.

You can think of this board as a hockey team. The great ones come in and the great ones go.

Please consider yourself one of the greats that have shared their thoughts and wisdom with the masses.

Thanks for everything and don't be a stranger Dan!
