Wow...middle school must have been utter hell with a name like that...the possibilities are pretty much endless. I always knew you had it in you

The first time we heard RJ say his name (in a GDT) we were all like WTH did he just say? It was really funny. I think we're the only ones to pick up on it. I've never seen the joke carried on elsewhere.

OMG that first time RJ called his name, an entire forums was stunned with confusion and laughter.

And Kath, I think we're the only ones who pick up on a lot...the absolutely epic Toskala joke seems to be ours and ours alone

Phil, we definitely have insider jokes. I totally just thought about Toskala (and even Alex's Semin thread ) as I typed that. I remember the Clusterfuck GDT like it was last night. I was like WTF did he just say Flutterbutt? I think it was you who said Clusterfuck. GDT's are so funny. They hold their own special jokes and memories well outside other threads.

What amuses me is how much lulz we get from the other 29 member clubs of the NHL...maybe 1% of our in-jokes are Sabres-related

Yeah. They are truly insider jokes and I forget that sometimes. The last game I went to V Chicago, I sat next to Leafs fans. I said something about Toskala's big glove save (and taste in man purses). At the end of the game when I said goodnight, they said "fuck you". I was shocked (yet not surprised) but then again they didn't get my joke. I took a step back after that

I remember that so clearly.

Everybody thought he said Flutterbutt and it was absolutely hilarious. I just lost it laughing at the time because it really did sound like that to me, and then I was laughing even harder when all these other people in the GDT were all, "WHAT FLUTTERBUTT?!" I love GDTs.
