"Friend", eh? I'm guessing there's some benefits along with, too. 8-)

The benefits of the friend - who did show up briefly, is an unconditional understanding and respect for the culture of this great sport; and that is good enough for me.

For some reason this brings back memories of Alfalfa - if only he could twist a cowlick three inches into the air, it would be a perfect flashback :D

I just arranged for someone to work the second half of my Sunday shift so I should be home around game time.
Great, they work 4 or 5 hours for me and I have to work their 10 shift in return the following week. Tis okay. I wouldn't miss it for the world. Speaking of piss drunk, I'm thinking that might apply to tonight's game as well :D Maybe I'll take a nap. Nah. I'll have a Pinot Noir please.

Sunday night, I plan on revelling as only the Viking gods have revelled before. Bring forth the drinking horns, maidens and wenches, and the sad fuck that has to deal with a tuned up and determined United States of America.

It's no wonder he returned to keep the Pub afloat.
I like it when you rep in his absence. You'd make a fine bartender ;)

Schony, this gentleman has bought you a bottle of the very good stuff if you agree to root for Canada tonight.

I kind of want to root for Sekera and the rest of Slovakia and Co, but I REALLY want a USA/Canada gold game, as terrifying as it sounds.

I do know that I'm wholeheartedly rooting for John Jameson's delicious, smooth whiskey :D

While cheering for Slovakia means cheering for (I know, Chara, among others) Sekera :)

Canada vs America...sounds a lot more fun than Slovakia. I want to whip Canada in their own backyard twice. Let Slovakia run hapless Finland to the bus for the Bronze.
