Buffalo IS a dump if you look at the surface. The steel industry is gone leaving behind major unsightly buildings and high unemployment. To see what Buffalo is really about, you have to go deeper. You have to live there for a time to really see why they call Buffalo "The City of Good Neighbors." It is poor in some aspects but very rich in others.... Living in the DC metro area for 10 years now, I see clearly what Buffalo/WNY has that makes it a GREAT region
