Me too. Mad respect, yo.

Well it's not that he wasn't allowed, the number isn't retired or anything, he just chose not to use it.

That is very true, crappy mis-wording by moi. However that does show a lot of respect by Miller

39 should be hanging from the rafters at HSBC arena.

Well when he was drafted Hasek was still a Sabre, no?

I mean he could have had it in the AHL, but it was taken at the NHL level when he was drafted.

Yeah, but I don't think he signed with the Sabres organization until after Hasek was gone.

I just noticed that, since this isn't an NHL mask, Bishop was allowed to put his signature on the mask without paying a ridonk fee.

whats the fee though? what i have noticed over the past few years is that airbrushers now airbrush the mask name back into the paint job. you never saw "itech" before. now you do. my guess is bishop still easily breaks even. thank you, ryan, for supporting the flint economy!

I remember reading an article (I think it was about Miller's masks, actually) that the league-mandated fee for an airbrush artist to add his signature to his work is somewhere north of $10,000. Which is FUCKING LAME.

Kind of annoyed that the smallest size they had was a men's medium, but I'll manage. 8-)

Yea, I'm gonna be buying that tee too. I don't have to worry about an abundance of breast, though ;)

Missy just brought up an excellent theory - could this be his failed Japanese tattoo mask repainted? After all, it'd be already custom-fit to his face. I think she's got a point.

no. its more trouble then its worth. bishop would have to sand it down and remove the padding and buttons, taping over other things.... that alone is a day or two of work.. its not just simple sanding, it has to be a weak grade so it takes FOREVER. and im sure warwick helps out miller any way he can. my guess is miller doesnt do a new mold every year.

remember a few years ago, miller had a winter classic mask made for one game, and an all-star game mask made. he wouldnt skimp on the olympic mask.

also, most mask artists wont repaint a mask they previously painted.

but check out these barf pads. same CCM vector 10 pad base, new graphics by RBK.
