He's a troll. Anyone that roots for losing for draft picks is a troll.

SabresBillsFan wrote: Well lets see! Do you think they can actually beat the Senators, Capitals , Penguins in a seven game series. Highly unlikely! I not saying that this team needs to make an instant move if we lose to Ottawa but the writing would be on the wall that they can't beat Ottawa. Darcy needs to unload some of the garbage and get pieces that will help this team in a seven game series without mortaging the future. One guy that might not be bad to get is Stempniak(from West Seneca so a local guy) off Toronto but it would have to be in a three way trade with them. This team is capable of making playoffs and that's it and if anyone thinks this team is good enough to make the cup with this current roster you will need your head examined. Difference between this years team and the last two years is that they have been winning alot more 1 goal games than in the past because of Miller. I'm not trying to start shit here but it would be nice for Darcy to earn that paycheck of his and maybe dump the trash and bring in a guy or two that can help this team! 3 out of four times the Sabres have beaten the Senators in the playoffs, The Penguins aren't the team of last year, they have huge holes on defense and won't make it very far unless MAF plays like he did two years ago and Malkin and Crosby score everygame. The Capitals are the most dangerous, but shut down OV, and play very hard D and put in some goals. I think we could beat each and every one of those teams in a 7 game series, remember the Caps have goaltending issues if Varlamov is not back, even with him in the net he doesn't have quite the experience miller has.

every time someone confidently says "we will kick their ass" the sabres lose. even if you dont believe in jinx, you dont say something to piss off the karma/hockey gods.
thats why i cautiously say we are going to see the first tie since 2004.

thats why i cautiously say we are going to see the first tie since 2004. I wonder how many rounds of shootout it would take to accomplish that? After like...78 rounds of the full team having shot, including goalies, I gotta think one of the refs is just going to call a tie, or maybe take a hatchet to someone. And while also not believing in jinxing in the least, I always cringe when I see these declarations. ESPECIALLY against the senators who we're totally owned by, and WHO WILL DESTROY US MIGHTILY TONIGHT* ( shh...i'm trying to reverse the jinx)

I think you should have worded your title a bit more carefully, or not even started the thread. There are already a few threads out there where most people admit this team needs a tweak or two. IMO(and many others), we need a RW who can set up TV(preferable with a bit of grit), and another solid defensemen in case Rivet, Montador and Lydman keep sucking.

Haven't we done this every Ottawa game?
How about next time we don't even acknowledge we're playing them until gameday. And ONLY in the GDT.
