I expected this. It's okay. It's one game where we looked like crap. Back to back games, coming off a blowout win. We had beaten the Leafs 10 times in a row, and it's impossible to just keep beating a team over and over and over again. Had to happen sometime.

Even Miller in his comments tonight alluded to the way they've been playing lately---and I don't mean this 7-3-0.

Over the last few months the Sabres have a weak record against teams sitting in playoff position. 7-12 since the beginning of January I believe. I don't wanna rain on your parade, but that is an important stat. You can cite all kinds of bad teams beating good teams or which teaams have the tougher schedule since January etc. etc. I am not debating who has a better chance of winning the cup, I'm just pointing out that the team really needs to get their shit together and stop thinking they can coast at any point.

Miller more or less said the same thing tonight.

If they can hang on to 3rd place (likely) I'm sure they're headed for round 2. I won't predict anything after that, as round 2 will likely be the Devils, Caps, Penz or Senz.

In a playoff setting, I cannot see them beating any of those four.

There are no easy games in this league, especially this time of year... and the fashion that they won them was impressive.

They have me feeling very confident.

You want to cherry pick stats Powerplayer, how about the entire year record of 43-24-10? You can't deny that record, no matter how they are playing now, they have won 43 games, got 10 games into an extra period, and lost 24 games flat out.

There are four teams in the entire league that has lost less regulation games than the Sabres. Washington, San Jose, Chicago, and Detroit. All four of those teams have almost 10 SO/OT losses except Chicago with four, Washington has 12 OT/SO losses, Detroit has 13, and San Jose 10.

I think that goes to prove our team never gives up, and it tries it's hardest to at least win or get that pity point at least.
