Anyone know how much shipping from NHL.com is? Wondering if it's worth the effort to head into the Sabres store to pick up that shirt or just order it online.

They showed some anger and intensity in that 1st period. They got a break with Lundy being off but overall a deserved win. I'm really happy that they don't have to go into Ottawa with the division still on the line.

What's next? Games at Bos, Ott, and NJ. As far as the 2nd seed goes, they are one point behind NJ. NJ plays at Fla, NYI, and Buffalo. If Buffalo can keep pace they can take the 2nd seed with a regulation win at NJ. I fear a let down against a determined Boston team, a spirited game with Ottawa, and hopefully a chance at the 2nd seed against NJ.

PSP, I gotta nit pick...the post you quoted from yourself gives reasons why the Sabres would take the league BY STORM. You, me, and very few others thought the team would make the playoffs, but they've hardly taken the league by storm. Not yet anyway. With NJ and Pit playing very average lately, I'm more confident in their playoff chances though.

When I said take the league by storm, I was referencing the surprise of them winning the Northeast Division.

While we all believed they would make the playoffs, a lot of people didn't believe they would win the Northeast division. Most people scoffed at that idea.

I don't remember what I said about this team, I think I was a believer we would finish top 4 in the league but not the NE champs.

What a misleading headline and story. They turn the Sabres winning the NE into a story about what a sad-sack team the Rags are. Lame.

Yeah, that was confusing at first...the whole "LOST CAUSE" with the Sabres picture on it.

I love watching those episodes in general. Oh man. "That baby ain't mine; he's too chubby!" Baby fat. :? "That baby can't be mine; he's too white." The mother's Caucasian. :? "That baby ain't mine! He looks nothin' like me!" Oh, my bad. He's only got your eyes, nose, and chin. :?

Anybody remember TSN's preview page in September? They had us at 19th/30 to start the year. Some of the comments are pretty funny to look at now too...

http://prodtsn.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=290804

A selection of my favorites:

"A team that missed the post-season twice in a row is better than the Rangers. These analysis of teams are just horrible"

"Steve Montador and Joe Dipenta to replace guys like Numminen and Spacek? Going to be a long year in the Sabres end of the rink"

"Should easily finish last in the Northeast. Another ridiculous ranking"

"he are light weights again; as a season ticket holder I will to look forward to not forking out money for playoff seats. I will also look forward to the Leafs pounding them several times.....literally"

"I don't understand how a team that finished in 10th last year and lost 2 top 2 defensemen in spacek and numinnen and a pretty good player (even though he didnt do to good last season)in afinogenov is projected to finish the same or even better than last year...I am sorry but the argument that this article used by saying miller was injured for 13 games and they only missed the playoffs by 2 points is not good at all...every single team lost an important player for a significatn amount of time.....look at montreal price, markov, higgins, kovalev and more...Buffalo has ZERO chance on making the playoffs because they havent done anything to improve their team...sry to break it to you but mike grier won't lead you to the promised land"

"I'd trade my Oil for this team inna heartbeat !!! "

Ah, sweet vindication...
