I figured Ruff would play Miller, hoping he would help them finally beat Ottawa, taking that one mental block out of the way leading into the post season.

I wanted him to play the Devils. That way he would have had a nice break between the Rangers game and the Devils, and if he's looking for his 41st win...he's got a better chance at getting it against the Devils than the Sens. Plus I don't want that thug Chris Neil taking any runs at him.
