They won't start Enroth over Miller when Ryan is healthy. He's the number 1 goaltender, and he needs to do his job. He needs to get some games in and get back into a rhythm after missing several because of his injury.

You can't wait for the team to fail again just so you can say that you were right?

Pretty much. Yeah. Because I'm not expecting anything more of them. I WANT them to win, I WANT them to play the way they have the past few games (meaning getting better incrementally), but I don't EXPECT them too. I'm not even cautiously optimistic. Not until we're above 500.

The idea that somehow the team is suddenly playing great in front of Enroth is ridiculous. They were playing awful teams! If Miller had been in net, these last 2 games don't go to OT.

How anybody could be on the Enroth bandwagon after watching him let the DEVILS score 3 goals in one period, is beyond me. The only reason this was a win, was because Hedberg is playing as poorly as the rest of his team.

Enroth is on a par with Lalime in my book.

You guys should hear the crying, day after day after about how Fleury isn't getting a fair chance by the coaches.

Lindy Ruff wouldn't have lasted a year coaching the Penguins, they would have ran him out of town like they did to Herb Brooks and Scotty Bowman. The hockey IQ of this city is around 23

I'm still trying to figure out if you're criticizing the Pens or the Sabres?

The one thing I don't get is how people are assuming Miller saves two of those goals last night if he was playing. Nobody will ever know, and it's stupid to try saying something like that IMO. There's no scouting report on Enroth, there is one on Miller, they could have easily been able to score MORE against miller...

I agree Miller is the better goalie hands down, but his production night in and night out is not predictable EVER.

The Pens fans to be more specific. Fleury has been dangerously aloof and inconsistent his entire career, even in juniors he was putting pucks into his own net. And yet the Pittsburgh Sheep fans want to blame the coaches because he sucks. And that fear is probably the reason why Bylsma didn't yank him out of the playoffs last season for Johnson, because if he did they would have gone onto another Finals.

The hockey talk in this town is abysmal, CAN NOT STAND.

Please, show me where I ever indicated the team was playing great. I said they're playing BETTER. That's the ONLY statement I've made in regards to the team's play.

Enroth hasn't even been the better goalie in PORTLAND.

Leggio was really never an option, even those the general consensus is that he has been playing better in Portland.

I don't remember hearing anything spectacular about him; I thought I heard the exact opposite - that he got called up twice last year and got lit up both times. Then again, I haven't looked at the Pirates roster, stats, or news lately.

Why? Because of his contract? Will it not allow him to come up or something?

He didn't play for the Pirates last year. He was across the pond.

Leggio has never played an NHL game. That's probably the biggest reason why.

AHL numbers for this year:

Leggio
8 GP 2.71GAA .917 sv% 7-1-0

Enroth
7 GP 3.51GAA .895 sv% 4-2-0

Nothing to do with his contract. I just can't imagine that the Sabres would toss in a guy who has less than 10 career AHL games (Leggio) instead of going with a little more seasoned player in Enroth.

Maybe if they were totally out of it and wanted to see what he had, but not this early in the year.

I think it's pretty clear that Miller will (and should) get the nod when he is ready.

On Enroth, I don't think he's NHL starter material (so getting him experience playing more games in the AHL is kind of moot) but I do think he is better than Patty Lalime at this point, and should be behind Miller.

This is great for Enroth and I don't think Miller would have saved two of those goals, ok, maybe the first because there wouldn't have been a rebound but we don't know.

The one that was off butler's skate no one could have stopped that, that is just bad luck, and the perfect pass and the perfect timing to get the stick down to deflect the one goal was just another one of those lucky breaks that went against us.

I'm not saying Enroth is a superstar at all, but right now he's doing just fine and I honestly don't think Boston was all that great last year when they played against Enroth also. Same with this year. Thomas is the main reason they are where they are right now since Rask the unflappable has been flapping and Thomas is making his money again. They are only 3 wins better than us also. Been consistently outshot a game, unlike Buffalo, but currently has a goalie who leads the league in stats. they may have a better scoring by committee, because not one of their players is in the top 30 in points this year league wide.

But when Miller comes back, they better play the same way, except on the PP and PK which are god awful this year. 25th in PK and 25th in PP are just not acceptable.
