There are a lot of teams that'd be pretty uncomfortable with their starting goaltender getting hurt.

Like, all of them.

Teams that would more than likely be fine with going with the backup.

Boston Bruins
Florida Panthers (not that they're much of a threat, but Scott Clemmenson has proven he can do it with the Devils)
St. Louis Blues (again, Ty Conklin has done it before with Pittsburgh)
Detroit Red Wings
Columbus Blue Jackets
Ottawa Senators
Washington Capitals (They could have Dan Cloutier and probably succeed. Hell, they succeeded with Jose Theodore.)
New York Rangers
LA Kings

That's just a few teams that I'm sure would be more than fine with having to stick it out with their backup.

plenty of good goaltending out there, some teams have plenty of goaltending. the sabres have an ace in the hole, an average at best back up, and a youngster who looks like he could swim, rather then sink. i am comfortable handing enroth the keys to the car for a little while, if need be.

Tuuka is not better than Tim Thomas, Mike. He has a terrible GAA.

2.24 GAA with a .939 save percentage.............

he upped his stats big time with a 41 save shut out.

ya know what, lets just get it out there. i dont like the bruins. i dont want them winning. here it is though.

I LIKE TUUKKA RASK! ALOT! there. i am a huge fan, and if the sabres traded miller (my fav player) for rask, i woud jizz all over and probably father 17 children because of it. im sorry. i just really really like rask.

we have that out in the open. no one hates me because of it, right?

Other than that, well, jury is still out. I do think he's gonna be much better than anybody imagines he will be by the time he hits 27.

Miller was terrible his first few starts here.
Year/Record/GAA/SV%

2002-03/6-8-1/2.63/.902
2003-04/0-3-0/5.08/.795

OUCH on the 03-04 games.

That game hardly ruined the season. It was game #29.

Maybe I'm idiotically loyal, but reading the words "Sabres traded miller for rask" make my eyes burn and blood boil.

Miller is our guy. Fuck Rask. Pride baby. Pride.

well, understandable. but by that logic, i should HATE miller for being a former faggy michigan state spartan. but i realized people make mistakes and forgave him.

plus, i mean, hes 7 years younger. itll never ever ever happen though, just saying how much im buying into that kool aid.

dont forget, rask was the centrepiece of the andrew raycroft to toronto deal.

im watching boston right now and rask has been unbelievable, but bostons abandoned him for the second goal, and the first was a redirect.

Rask did a great job of being one of the big reasons Boston pissed away both of their 3-0 leads against philly.

I don't think so. He might be a reason, but not a big one. The Sabres biggest downfalls were on special teams. Rask wasn't on the Bruins powerplay, and our powerplay was so bad he didn't have to do much on the pk.

Yeah there were two goals that shouldn't have counted in that game.

....and let us not forget the great Savard/Vanek importance-to-the-team injury debate.

Ah yes, the good ol' days.

Speaking of that, guess who's getting closer to a return:

So what if Savard is getting closer to a return, Vanek has an 8 game point streak or 7 going on right now.

If Savard is back they honestly should scrap Seguin, why they kept him this year is stupid, it's like Hall in Edmonton, neither of those guys should be on an NHL team this year.

According to Sabres Edge, Miller should be ready to go next game. Enroth was sent down...again.

I hope that with Miller, this isn't a constant 're-aggravating' issue with him. Otherwise it looks like Enroth is going to get a lot of flying miles.
