Some of the stuff like us making a deal where someone else took responsibility for our missle strikes that killed civilians and so on are huge issues. Personally I liked it better when I thought we were the "good" guys but this kind of airing may be good.

You asked a general question with no specific "When it comes to the last ten years...", so I answered with no timeframe restrictions. I don't agree with either war. I think we should pull our troops out and demand a fucking apology from Bush Jr. but I also realize that considering the fucked up situation, our troops have done great work in some areas of the Middle East. Having said that, I saw the overall opinion of the US drop from "good with reservations" to "fuck them, let's go protest the shit out of their foriegn bases" overnight when I lived in Germany. Shit like covering up civilian murder by asking a country to take responsibility for it though is way beyond what I thought we were doing in the Middle East. Maybe I'm naive. Makes me sick to my stomach that it's happening, though I prefer to know it rather than be ignorant of it.

Sorry for jumping your shit. Personally I know hundreds of American heroes and I know the good work they have done in the world. When I hear something like "When were you ever the good guys" it really pisses me off. I know the US is a far cry from perfect but we have done a lot of good which can't be tossed aside and forgotten even in the light of the evils done. I took your comment as implying that we have never done a lick of good.
