Well, if it is a lake/pond and not a rink or anything anyone would be pissed about doing so, I'd almost say some big grit sand paper may be a better option than carpet, man.

I dunno, just my 2 cents.

Yeah I would pick sandpaper over tape too.

Adhesives would work better in the cold than in the heat at least. If you put the carpet on in warm and let the adhesive or glue dry you won't have a problem, unless it gets really hot.

Tape always falls off and stops sticking when it gets really cold here. I don't think adhesives work well in extreme heat or extreme cold. And ice is not only cold, but will get wet when skated on.

That's true. Better to use a glue then, but carpet still won't work very well on ice.

Get some super heavy grit sandpaper and put that on the bottom of your shoes.

It's because the feed from justin.tv was found and put on there.

No, it's a meevos stream and not justin.tv

Oh, I don't ever check it because they normally always suck. Plus you never get to see the beginning of the game.

I can't understand why the site sucks, it just lists streams. They are just a parasite website which doesn't have a own streamer community, but very often it finds streams that aren't listed on myp2p (especially vshare and meevo).

why not?

I feel like it's a good idea in theory but when tried it will probably not work. I don't know how well adhesives work in the cold.

heres why i ask: im playing in a softball tournament on a frozen lake, and i play outfield. you cant use metal cleats, and my soccer cleats (i wear soccer cleats for baseball) wont dig in cause they are plastic. so i need something to allow me to get some traction tracking down flyballs. its gonna be 30 so.

Anything that increases the amount of friction will help. Whether it will be a noticeable difference is the question

It's all personal is the reason.

Maybe use like a rubber cement and glue some sheets on like the night before or something. Or before the game just to give it a shot, Or, if you have some older shoes, maybe do up a few pairs like this just incase one shoe loses its sandpaper and you can change on the fly.

Hockey tape will probably be about as good as you're going to get.
