Ryan Miller is Toronto's kryptonite. He's had his rest, he's pissed off, and he likes nothing more on this earth than to beat the Leafs.

You start Ryan Miller tomorrow. No question.

If that's true, holy shit. I can't wait to use that against my cousin.

From yahoo sports....as I was curious as well.

Miller is 11-4 at the Air Canada center.

He's 24-8 against Toronto for his career.

He has 4 career shutouts against the Leafs.

I gotta think that even the Laffs have a goalie with more than 11 wins at home. I'll chalk it up to more Versus Creative Statistics.

I think Miller needed a night off not just for physical reasons, but emotional reasons. Having his entire teams playoff hopes on him and not getting a night off in 2 months has to be stressful. I know he can handle it, but it still had to be good for his psyche. Now we got a win without him, he's a little bit more rested, pissed off, and playing the Laffs. It's Miller time.

I would rather have my cat play goal than Lalime.

Miller is your number 1 goaltender. Period. End of story. He needs games off here and there, not extendo breaks.

One way to beat that mental fatigue is to take it out on the team that's been your personal biatch.

Let's not forget that for his career, Miller is

19-5 against Boston
24-8 against Toronto
18-8 against Montreal
12-15 against Ottawa

73-36 against division opponents.

He'll get out of his current funk.

I thought that seemed kinda weird...back to the stat mine.

Well they have Giguere, Gusto, and Reimer as the netminders on their roster. Giggy has 11 wins on the season to lead the team and is 15-11-3 at the Air Canada Center for his career. He's 9-5 this year at the ACC.

So yeah, a little creative with the stats.

Why, because of the drama. I certainly hope our coach's balls are bigger than that. You play who you think gives you the best chance to win.

Miller has only lost like 4 games against the Laughs since like 1845. A rested, pissed off Miller bitch slaps the Leafs tomorrow.

Besides, Enroth MIGHT be a little tired after the emotion (and duration) of that game.

No, I agree, but Anaheim gave Hiller a good amount of time off, because McIlhenny was playing good. If Miller is still fatigued, and Enroth felt good...

That's all I'm saying. Believe it or not, even Lalime crossed my mind.

anaheim can afford to do that more than we can

When we do play a backup, I want it to be Enroth. If he can step in for spot duty, and play well, then that's a good sign. If he plays well starting in training camp, I'm not opposed to removing Miller's "#1 tag", and making it a Thomas/Rask scenario. I know, I know, jumping way ahead of myself.

Enroth has a sick glove and an above-average blocker. His lack of size is one of his remaining flaws, and that can be overcome with foot speed practice. I'm turning into a believer too. He may not be a star, but he'll be an adequate NHL goalie yet.

When the puck is out by the circles and down low, he manages to remain straight up enough to cover almost all of the top of the net. That's not a problem. Hopefully he has the reflexes for shots from out front. He seems to at first look.

He's not a full on butterfly goaltender, so he can reach those areas pretty sufficiently. I like the kid's game.

Also important to note; tonight was a huge game for the Habs. A win would have put them in first place in the Northeast division.

I didn't know that at the start of this game, and that makes this win that much more impressive to me.

This game was very important for the Habs, indeed. They lost. Now, they can rot in hell with the Maple Leafs. Life excites me more.

When I talk about his size, I don't mean covering the net, actually. He's got a 75% stand-up style I like and he likes using his upper body to make saves, when I criticize his size I refer to his leg length. He's not the fastest guy laterally and if he was longer legged he could compensate but he isn't.

It also showed on those first 2 shootout goals. His legs weren't long enough to reach the posts. I see exactly what ya mean, literally. Something just don't look right about it even. Thank God I remember Irbe, or it would seem even weirder.

It's always a good time for an Arturs Irbe reference!
