Never say never... Miller gets hot... some more forwards show up... the d tightens up and they stay healthy, anything can happen.... with that said... I am just as excited for the coming years BUT I really, really want them to knock off philly....

Our D is the weak spot. They need to stop giving Philly the puck and it wouldn't hurt if Miller was a bit tighter.

Miller's been average at best. BUT, I can't blame him for goals where a turnover in the defensive zone cause a 3-on-1 break for Philly. Game 3 was decided by a few HUGE mistakes Buffalo made defensively. Game 2...maybe we can give Miller a little more of the blame on that one. But still, DF is right in saying the D is the weak spot.

Man if I were Vanek/Stafford/Gerbe etc I'd be pissed. Busting my ass and getting great chances only to have the momentum killed by an asshole like Butler coughing up the puck. Hard to stay motivated when one cleared puck can lead to a goal.

And it wouldn't hurt if we saw a little more of Pommers or Ennis or Boyes.... not saying they aren't digging... BUT we need them on the score sheet...

And honestly the PP unit with TV/Pommers/Timmy... they need to get their act together... yes one PP goal last game, BUT not scoring on a 4 min double minor AND not scoring on a 5 on 3 for over a min is simply not acceptable in play-off hockey...

Tighten up boys and kick the shit out of them... its just Bobby Boucher (Brian)... not Patrick Roy... take it to 'em... get pucks on him and battle to the front of the net to pick up the rebounds...

I think...

It's time to start drinking.

Pretty much do or die for the Sabres AND Ducks, and the games overlap(thanks to fukin lady googoo). This could be a very emotional night. Lotta self-medicating.

I want to see the forwards skate the puck toward the net a little more for ugly jam attempts and rebound garbage. Create havoc and confusion in front of the net and eventually a few shitty ones will go in. So far a lot of cycling has ended with Philly's D getting it back and clearing. Just skate around to the forehand and let one loose while the other guys crash the crease. Keep it simple.

yep it seems philly isn't giving up real-estate in front of the net easily... the sabres need to force that issue... get shots on net and get someone in front for clean up... just like Patty scored in game one...

I'm feeling the same. I hope you're right, a good old 7-1/8-2 rout of the Flyers (like in 06) would be nice. :)

I'm just weirdly calm since we lost game 3, dunno why.

Yeah Philly's D is doing a good job, but Buffalo forwards are looking a little too careful in the zone. They could skate harder and try to beat the man right in front of them instead of looking to create something with more passing. For the most part those passes get broken up, so skate hard and force the d-men to make a play or take a penalty.

I know it's Malkin and Kunitz but this is just too funny.

Ok we need to get shit done. The scorers need to show up tonight, and not just on the score sheet. How about a physical but fast game? We need our forwards to not suck so bad on defense (looking at you Pommers and Vanek) Can we score while being able to lock shit down?
