fellow dictators?

let me know when your life is so oppressed by the "obama regime" that it draws comparisons to other legendary dictators. funny, the left hated bushes tenure, but it never got this dillusional.

That would be because Bush wasnt trying to pass things that were Socialistic and/or Dictatorship, Im not saying we are heading in the direction because I do not know, But Bush didnt try to pass socialistic views.

No, Bush pushed a batshit insane totalitarian agenda. The Patriot Acts I and II. Ya know, shit like that.

I never said I agreed with everything Bush did, and Im sure that there are things that Both sides can nit pick about Past and Current presidents that they dont agree with, that will always happen, remember no president is perfect, but it is the belief on the right side that Obama has been taking things a little out of hand for the sake of "change"

And Bush was took things out of line for the sake of "freedom" and "fighting evil". We could go back and forth like this forever.

The patriot act passed the Senate 98-1...you can't pin that on Bush.
And at least it has re-authorizations and stop measures built into it unlike, you know, the friggin "stimulus" and TARP.

If you want to go after Bush, go after his executive orders...most actual legislation that passed under him was passed by a Democratic congress ;)

Which is exactly why I said no President is perfect :) haha. Everyone in the country can nit pick ONE thing that they dont like about a president, just cuz they dont agree with it. haha. Oh well. It is the balance of things Right doesnt like the Left, Left doesnt like the Right. Shit Happens lol.

The main problem I have is Obama is trying to change things that can't be undone.
Once a new bureaucracy or public entitlement is created, it's there forever.

Its just the beginning. Bush wasn't a perfect president, but I respected the fact that he respected our freedom. He wanted us to have as much of our own hard-earned money to spend on ourselves. He reached across party lines, to Ted Kennedy, to help him to figure out what to do with Social Security...you probably didn't hear about it because the LIBERAL media didn't want you to know about it because it made Bush look good.

Today, he wants to hand-pick the media that surrounds him based on whether or not they are on his side of the parlor tricks he's pulling behind closed doors. Tomorrow, his administration will be in charge of what doctor we get to go to, and when and what proceedures we'll be able to have. He's already taken over the car companies and banks. Next, who knows? If you think the Patriot Acts are totalitarianism, just wait till Obama and the Democrats are done with taking over the country. They are nothing more than control freaks that don't care about the safety of our country from those that mean to erase us or us as individuals. They want us dependent on them so that we'll vote for them or lose the goodies they hand us.

I sound maniacal, but I'm one scared person. I don't trust Democrats (by Democrats, I mean politicians, not everyday people...some of my best friends are Democrats and I love them)...they are the party that thought that slavery was their God-given right and didn't give a rats ass about blacks until they were given the right to vote. Republicans are for absolute equality across the board. Period. No special perks because you're black, Mexican, gay, whatever. But you are EQUAL if you want to work hard and be responsible for yourselves. That is what a true Republican thinks. There are assholes on both sides that drag down the rest...don't let the asshole Republicans dictate to you what you think of the rest of us.

Anyhow, I'm going back out in the backyard to await my execution for disagreeing with Democrats. Tell my family I love them...

Its all how you look at it...whatever freedoms you're talking about, I think that Obama is 1000 times worse...I respectfully agree to disagree :romance-kisscheek:

Indeed it is, Idk what you view Phil, cuz Im not you lol. BUT I personally would like the freedom where I can go to which doctor I want, can earn a decent pay, being able to buy my guns, (I live in the middle of no where and Im a hunter) etc etc, you understand my point. Seeing as Id rather not be told that I have to go to a certain docter, and said docter tells me he cant treat me cuz someone else is ahead of me, and they just have a simple cold etc.

Phil,your thoughts/ view of freedom??

Well, given what I know about the Patriot Acts (what little I do know), there was a metric shit-ton of government-enacted invasions of privacy going on that I am not a big fan of at all. Federally-funded health care and distributed wealth doesn't scare me nearly as much as possible wire-taps and other means do.

Granted, I am also all about earning a decent wage, which is why I'm still against distributed wealth - it just doesn't freak me out. Makin' me mad, that's a different story ;)

Yes I heard about Bush supposedly tapping Phones and what not, that made me unhappy, and uncomfortable, no doubt about it. And Yes... distributed wealth... NOOOOO bad... because people who do make decent money dont get to see nearly as much as they should, because someone who is making less gets more money while those with decent pay get less.. I agree with you. haha (thats a first  )

Thing is, I'm a single dad who has a pretty low income, but I'm also against that distributed wealth because, well goddammit, I want to enjoy the fruits of my labor and I worked my ass off for it.

Im sorry to hear that. Its unfortunate, and I agree with you every damn bit, if we work hard for the money we want, we should be able to enjoy its benefits, not someone who did a lot less than us.

The NSA has the ability to listen in on any form of communication.....and they do.

If it's actually written down in a law, and voted on, it's benign for sure. It's the things that are done that you don't know about that should worry you.

Our government does a lot that we don't know about and that's not tied to any political party.

Do a google search for CIA NSA and ECHELON <--software my Dad's company made for the NSA

It shocks me to see many in my situation just take the "easier" road by quitting their jobs and collecting more benefits than they were earning at their job. Have some pride and dignity you vampiric motherfuckers.

This is why I hate the whole welfare system. I mean granted its something that we should have to help people get on thier feet, but it bugs me when people stay on the system just to have the benefits. Welfare should be changed so people can be on it for only a limited amount of time, but they get offered programs to help them get a degree or something so when they get off of welfare either on thier own or because they were timed out they can have a chance to help themselves.

My daughter's father couldn't get a job because then he'd loose his medicaid. Or so he said. Then he sued me for more visitation, which he didn't show for in the first place, didn't pay child support (and the CSEU said 'well, ya can't get blood from a stone...'), then due to him suing me, I get slapped with thousands of dollars for lawyers fees while he got a free public defender...and welfare...and foodstamps...and then would steal twenties out of my purse every chance he got. Fucker.

I think it was the welfare situation that first dragged me over the fence to the Republican side of things. Its absurd and insulting to those of us that work for a living.
