http://www.nbcchicago.com/news/politics ... ident.htmlHonestly I don't think the person who wrote that article watched Obama give the speech. The author is calling for
Quote:
The president should apologize for the tone of his remarks, explain what has happened, express sympathy for those slain and appeal for calm and patience until all the facts are in. That's the least that should occur.
Minus the "apologize for the tone of his remarks" which is obviously aimed at the "shout out" to a medal of honor winner he did all of that. He was sympathetic, called for Americans to pray with him for the families of those affected and stated that not all of the facts were in yet.
This seems like another case where people who don't like Obama will look at what he says through the head of a pin. Yes focus in on the shout out to a medal of honor winner. Let's examine the entire situation through a key hole. Don't forget to discount everything else he said too. Oh but
do forget to take the tone he had when addressing the medal of honor winner and juxtapose it to his somber, serious, and sympathetic tone he had while addressing the Fort Hood shooting. Yeah no Obama clearly didn't express any sympathy throughout that whole thing........................
He was appearing at an event and he thanks everyone at the event first. Dare I say had he done this last this would be a non-issue? Of course not. It would still be an issue. He's Obama, so anything he does is wrong to many on the right. The guy can't win. I mean how insensitive is the President when he says his thoughts and prayers are with the wounded and the family members of the fallen in a sympathetic tone. He also asked all Americans to pray for those involved. Haven't seen this much insensitivity in a long time.
