Did the Penz cheat on you or something? First, you dropped them like a hot potato (and I am curious why you did), and you are now predicting a 1st round exit.
A bit suspect.
Methinks your ex is gonna make you look like a fool.
The Pens will make it to the second round, but that's it, losing Gil and Scuderi on defensemen will hurt them in my opinion too much come playoff time, game 6 and 7 were won by those two plays.
Also isn't a win a win no matter how sloppy they played? I seem to think in 7 games if you win a game while being outplayed you may be lucky or something, but you still won, are they going to put an asterisk next to the win saying the team shouldn't have won the game but still did or something?
If the Sabres don't show up yet still win who is going to really complain? We beat Montreal in a SO because of two goals in the last one minute, didn't we still win the game or should they give the win to Montreal because they led us for 58 minutes?? Didn't we also beat the Rangers in 2007 after 59:52.3 minutes of losing the game? Isn't that game still a win in our books even though we didn't score on Lundqvist until 7.7 seconds left?
You nitpick too much and always try to find negative in everything, a win is a win no matter how it's earned or gained in the playoffs, you play shitty yet you still win, YOU STILL WON THE GAME!!!!!!
You're just a troll so why am I responding to you anyways, you can't reason with anyone and you can't ever accept our arguments, you'll never back away from what you have to say. I hope you like living under a bridge troll.
Aww man there's trolls on this board too?! I didn't sign up for this! Which way to the Canucks page?!
Hahahahaaaaa.
Scuderi and Gill played great for the Pens, especially in the playoff last year, but their impact was severely over-hyped. Gill first of all, looked good because of Scuderi. Gill is the slowest player perhaps ever, and if he doesn't have a good positional partner (what??) he's nothing but a huge liability. Try pairing him with an offensive minded defense man and it's over. The planets simply aligned for Scuderi, the tumblers of the universe fell into place for him during his contract season. He played amazing, but to make a defensive zone highlight reel play (and to not see the countless times he gets burned) in the SCF, made him worth 3.5/year! Yeah, he makes as much as Orpik and Volchenkov but he's absolutely allergic to the offensive zone lol. Scuderi also helped to minimize the damage from Ovechkin, but it's worth noting that Ovechkin still pretty much dominated the Penguins like he does every team.
Having said all of that, the rookie Goligoski is absolutely lost right now, tripping over his feet, indecisive, to go along with a diminutive stature. And everybody here kept saying that Letang's head was screwed up because he didn't get a contract. Well he got a contract, and he still treats the puck like a live hand grenade. If the Penguins want to go far (and don't worry, their coaches will never figure this out) they would scratch Goligoski and go back to a defensive 3rd pairing like they had last year, this time using McKee as the slow footed big man with the reliable Eaton.
The rest of the defense is actually really good, Orpik, Gonchar, Leopold, and Eaton are all playing really well right now and for most of the season.
