Spain has not played a 4-3-3 in years.
btw, it's kind of annoying that some people are watching this game just to find dives, especially when they don't have a clue what they are talking about. The final had very few dives, it had brutal fouls and missed red cards, that's all. I don't get it why some people think diving is a big problem in football. This sport has a lot of issues someone could argue about, but diving is one of the smallest.
It's because they whine about every little damn thing by falling. And, they 95% of the time are faking it for a penalty.
Who whines about every little damn thing? Don't just put generalizations out there just because it seems popular these days to say it. Football is just diving, hockey is just fighting and baseball is just spiting and ass scratching. Yeah, I get it.
Every now and then there is a dive, but nobody really cares about them unless it is in the penalty area. I can't remember one penalty caused by a dive in the WC and I can't even remember 1 single dive in the final.
Falling down isn't a bad thing when you get fouled, because you don't get a call if you keep running. Playing football you get hacked and hold all the time with no call, therefore you'll eventually start falling when fouled.
It's the same thing as most hockey player act like they got shot in the face when a opposing stick touches their face and then they're trying to bleed as hard as they can and look battered. It's understandable after enough high-sticking with no calls.
