Very cool Alex, shoot me a text later on and let me know how it goes dude.

I just had a great interview this morning with a restaurant in Buffalo, I should be getting hired in the next few days I'm guessing. The dude all but told me I had the job, said he had a few more interviews but I was on the top of his list.

The Lexington Co-Op is hiring. I'd love to work with those hippies at the organic/locally-grown grocery. Manager on staff was even impressed I brought the printed-out application from the website.

It's not prestigious and it won't pay as much as my last job, but it's a Buffalo business. And, if I get hired, a paycheck. That's important, too.

I did really well, I could tell they left impressed.

The Problem:
My resume caught their eye because they're looking to start an office in Syracuse late this year/early next. Fail. I'm going to continue to impress upon them that I want to be in Buffalo and see if I can't wind up there after a period of time, but that's not terribly palatable either.

It's 103 outside my house right now and I have 1/2 a mind to shave my head...this heat is oppressive.

And now Vlasic owns Pabst. (It's true, bought it for $250M)

vlasic pickles are from detroit, and is now headquartered back home in lapeer county i believe. i know the main factory is there.

PBR isnt a fad in michigan, at all. its the opposite, and i like it. if you drink to get drunk, PBR, molson, and yeungling is solid brew. keysters too. i understand you can get hammered off a few 3Ps but thats not the nature of that beer. everyone in michigan drinks BUDlight and miller lite, seriously very little deviation.

everyone everywhere drinks bud light, miller light and coors light.

The only reason PBR exists right now is because it's a fad. Whether you're "in" on it or not.
It's a retro brand marketed to 20-30 year olds.
Beer brewed by BMC (bud, miller, coors) breweries is merely an afterthought to an ad campaign.
Why else would pabst (a regional brand at its peak) be available in every supermarket from Newark to Honolulu?
Because they're not selling you Pabst, they're selling you the idea of Pabst.

If you and your friends genuinely like it, be prepared for it to go away. Again.

Yeungling is a completely different story. Family owned and operated. Small on flavor, but a genuine operation.

Check out the documentary called "Beer Wars". It's rather eye-opening.

The cab driver that drove me and my brother to our house from the train station didn't give me twenty cents of my change.

Instead of punching him, I let him get away with it. I have failed.

Seriously a missed opportunity to give a cabbie a shiner.

I'm seriously not understanding the PBR fad at all. I've got plenty of hipster friends down here who drink it, and turn their noses up if I offer them something from Sierra Nevada, or Left hand, or any higher quality brewer...although I dont mind it much, if they want to drink that cheap crap of a 'beer', more quality hopped delight for me I guess.

I want to see that, too. A movie that has to do with going into dreams? Awesome.

I think Leonardo DiCaprio is my favorite actor. I love most of his movies that I've seen. He probably just picks roles I would pick for myself if I were a dude... and also an actor.
