One of my cousins is starting to almost exactly like me, which is really odd because even a year ago she did not resemble me at that age at all and never has looked anything like me. I do bear more of a resemblance to their family than to my own, though.

I've been posting in this thread too much today.

If I ever get married, my wedding is going to be the cheapest, most laid back "have fun" thing in the world. People my age are planning weddings all around me (which I think is ridiculous in itself, but...), and all it seems to do is piss them off and strain their relationships. My bridesmaids and everybody else can wear whatever they want. I'll make my own cake and cook food ahead of time with the fiance. I hate the complicated etiquette and dancing around that most wedding planning requires. It's supposed to be fun, but its only purpose is to cause stress.

Actually I would just elope, but I want to dance for hours with friends. Additionally, those extremely laid back, simple weddings are always the best according to everyone I know who's attended one like that (I have not, yet), and providing a great, relaxed time for others like that would be nice.

Well; it's all the way in NYC, and it's my ex girlfriend getting married...the girl I had bought a ring for. It would be fairly painful for me to go still, but I am taking the future grooms younger sister as my date if I dont bail...and I feel like thats kind of a solid slap in the face anyway.

this "date night" advertisement for the DVD is so annoying. they are focusing on out takes, and its just them laughing at inside jokes when they mess up. so, thats pretty annoying.

Especially if you put it in her keister!

On an unrelated note, I found a bicycle to toy around with on CL today for only $55. It's a crap Roadmaster, so I won't feel bad fucking around with it.

I want it the same way, haha. A cousin of mine got married a few weeks ago, was the nicest wedding I've ever been to. It was in a park, everyone dressed casual (shorts or whatever), no fancy ceremony, etc. Was a very enjoyable time. Played horseshoes, frisbee, etc, afterward, then started the music after it got dark.

It really seems like the way to go...granted I'm a pretty cheap person...but it's cheaper, less stressful, and more enjoyable.

Only thing I'd disagree with is cooking the food...I hate cooking for myself, let alone a hundred or so people.

But, being the guy, I probably won't be the one who decides.

I'd just go for cooking myself because I assume it's less expensive than catering, but that may not be the case if you can get a really cheap caterer. Otherwise, no way would I do that lol.

I'd say September is number 1 IMO, but that's probably because my birthday is in September and it's also the start of Fall and when the leaves start changing. October is close second though because of Halloween. Halloween is my favorite holiday.

I honestly love June, July, and August. 3 of the hottest months of the year, can be outside most days, and I can golf those 3 months on my parents membership at the country club

Plus, you don't need a DJ anymore, just get an Ipod Shuffle and have it go on random.
