What I saw of the game, they looked like crap. I think we are seeing what we will see the rest of the season. Pretty much a .500 team. Win one, lose one. Get our back to normal 13th overall pick and keep up with this crap.

I honestly expected Myers to take a step back. Miller too. But the whole team pretty much did as well. :(

In many, if not all cases, 87, your team will only go as far as your goaltending. It's just the way it is.

That being said, I'm not blaming this season's start on Miller/Lalime, one bit! They are the last line that the opposition should have to try to go through, not the first or second, which has been the case on more than one occasion this season (See both Chicago games). You're right in that majority of the team has taken a step back. Some who were dogged from last year are playing at/above par or very solid while others who were praised for their efforts last season need some depends for shitting the bed. What was up is now down and vice versa and they seem to not know who they are or what identity they want to brand themselves. One period, they come out flying with killer puck possession, the next it seems to be going through the motions.

I dunno.. :?

Bad performance all around.

Five Flyers goals were savable. Screw Miller.

Gaustad may want to find the back of the net next time. Zero for 7 is unacceptable.

Stafford disappeared.

The next game better not be another botch job.

Goose has never been a finisher, so don't expect that to start anytime soon.

Miller was not the reason we lost that game, did you not see the lack of any type of ply during the second period?

Your expectations of Goose is low.

We the majority disagree with your assessment of Miller. He allowed five goals. This is not the first time this season he allows goals galore. He can do better.

Why would I expect Goose to score 30 goals a year, it will never happen. He will never score more then 50 points, and I doubt he will ever top 20 goals. The guy is 28, what more do you expect out of a guy good to give you 30 points and play a shutdown role and not an offensive role?

The score doesn't always tell the story behind the goalie. They take the most shit and half the time they don't deserve the shit they get. It's hard to stop a 2-on-0 when the defensmen misses his assignment.

Why does Lindy Ruff feel Goose should be on the PP if he has no scoring touch? I know he's a big body, but putting a corpse in front of the net isn't going to do any good.

This.

Many fans just tend to think that some nights ALL the players just suck. So not reality. Many times it's the nerve wracking coaching duel. Blaming the players is all the rage, though. When NOTHING is working, you're being out-coached people.

I wasn't happy with Miller's performance either, but make sure you have an army of posters in your corner before spouting "We the majority", kk?

Regardless of differing opinions, we the majority agree easily this game was a bad performance for everyone.

Gaustad has several years remaining in his NHL career. It is too early to judge him.

Goaltenders do not need to be rewarded for soft goals allow. They can try to protect the net.

Don't be surprised if they beat up Atlanta and then fizzle against Dallas. :(

I doubt we need more no goal situations against the later.

Umm when a player turns 28 and has never reached 20 goals, I highly doubt it's going to happen.

He is what he is, and you need guys like that on teams. Guys who can chip an odd goal here and there but are mainly for a shut down role. You can't win with 4 lines of guys who can't play defense.
