Of course I don't know the guy, so maybe he's well-intentioned and miss-informed. But I do know that gas company officials who work with fracking would not touch the drinking water in a fracked area with a ten-foot pole, even as they assure residents that their water is safe to drink. It drives me nuts to think that legislatures cave to the lobbyists from these companies and refuse to take a stand. So like politicians, I have a low opinion of people in the fracking business.
Oh, I don't kid myself.
I am well aware he knows the consequences with regards to bi-products and side affects of the process.
It doesn't happen everywhere though. And PA is heavy in fossil beds. Did I ever mention my first job, at 14 to 16 years old I worked in a coal mine in Clearfield Co. PA. My grandfather was a coalminer, as was my real father, all of my uncles, my grandfathers brothers....etc....etc......
That area is ripe with energy related fuels, so it was only natural I end up in energy, in one form or another.
I can't say whether the bedrock and underlay of fossil has anything to do with the gas release into the wells, but I can say the chemicals are more than questionable.
I would need a guy like Mr. Pegula up in this area to make anything go from end, or atleast have a chance at it. Paladino is worthless and the political structure in NY is just down right criminal.
All I can tell you is that having a man with his contacts and industry knowledge would be a boon for my company if I can get his attention, its better than anything we currently have up here.
