Good news though. The blurb about LQ and DiPofi wasn't really a shock; LQ admitted weeks ago that once BTG was out, he was out.

If I'm not mistaken, somebody stated that Slesh was merely speculating and didn't know anything  .
Hate to say I told you so, but, I told you so :D .

You were speculating. Just because you happened to be right doesn't change that. :)

Right.
I was merely bursting with confidence because my inner self had hoped all along this would happen  .
I told you what I knew and gave you a general idea of who I spoke with to get that information.
Take it at face value and nothing more.

And on that note, your going to love this guy Squanto, he is very much into hockey and very much into Buffalo.
I see tangibles lining up here all day long. He'll invest in the area beyond the Sabres, it's ony a matter of planning and time, and he will be a positive for the region.

But as far as the Sabres are concerned, Mr. Pegula will do his damdest to bring a Stanley Cup to Buffalo. Let's put it like this, he's not afraid of the bottom line entering the red for a period of time in order to build a contender. You can say goodbye to internal cap chatter. The real plus side on this is the departure of Regier, which is what some people believe is necessary as several players have privately (and a couple publicly) have stated just how they feel about playing in Buffalo under the current management regime.

You guys!

I just read on hockeybuzz.com, Eklund is e5'ing that once Pegula makes his purchase for the Sabres, he's going to fire Quinn's ass!

E5, everyone! You heard it here first!

Dam, my Eklund generator has Pegula throwing in a bobble-head Bettman doll with the firing :)

So assuming heads roll when Pegula signs on, when does this happen? During the season or after/in the playoffs? And does he keep Lindy?

I'm thinking that my sign for the Coorado game next week will read "Hey Pegula! HELP!"

I'm not sure, leaning 55-45 towards no in response to keeping Lindy.

I'd predict a new GM hired, probably after the season is over. The new GM will probably be the one to make the call on Lindy.

I wouldn't expect him to survive another ownership change.

The Calgary guys were talking about him last night. They said that Darcy had stated that as long as he's the GM, Lindy has a job. They went on to say that with a crappy record they couldn't figure out why he still has a job.

The weirdest part is that they said that a coach having a job regardless of their record wouldn't fly in Calgary......which made me go....don't you guys suck? Then this morning I find the coach is leaving.

A new GM is what this team needs and hopefully Pegula shows Darcy the door after he shows that fucktard Larry Quiin the door.

Ya new Management... could mean several different things... Could be a full shake up with everyone down to coaching up to the President is gone... or just the COF, and President are gone... it really depends... should be interesting.

All levels and departments of the organization will be affected in the greatest or least ways possible. The biggest changes will come in the executive, hockey department, and coaching staff aspects.

With a new executive staff in place, the actions and assignments for the hockey departments and coaching staff will be surveyed closley. This could be an important test for Darcy Regier to make moves if he was limited by financial limitations or waited too late to miss out on specific external players.
