I got invited to the Hurricanes and Tampa Bay game by a guy from my hockey team. I believe he has season tickets and they are very close to the glass.

My only thing is, do I root for Carolina or Tampa? Obvious choice is Carolina, but I'm going with a Hurricanes fan, I'll root for whoever is winning, and I hope it's Tampa since Carolina is too close to us in the standings not too.

Thanks...I was never close to this woman however. Mostly coming home in support of my Dad.

What an exciting game. Carolina wins 6-4 but the action was just back and forth. The seats were 6th row behind the visitor's penalty box right on the aisle. It was really neat being able to see the players faces as they skated by.

Dislike surprise dinners that I am obligated to attend at my aunt's house. The fact that my mother's side of the family resides in this area is most of the reason that I'm staying in Indiana over the summer. They're too, um... traditional? I don't know. So many obligations that, if not followed, render a person ungrateful and/or arrogant. I got grief for going to a room upstairs to be alone every once in a while Christmas Eve when there were 35+ people crammed into two rooms of that house. I just don't like crowds...

Well, at least my father's side is awesome to make up for it, and some of them live around here... but I will like when I live on the other side of the country and don't have to worry about fulfilling a set of expectations that are more or less the opposite of me (actually expectations/obligations in general are the opposite of me ).

So my one hockey buddy who took me to the game yesterday said he has a pair of Eagle Pro Stock hockey gloves he's willing to sell to me for 20 bucks. Of course I'm taking this deal.

I'm gonna sell my cheapo gloves to a buddy for 20 bucks and get these gloves.
