I have never really liked Darcy awhole lot but that is the other owner was basically an idiot. It's funny what a fan with a shit ton of money can basically change what a gm can do.

Yes it's true. No one liked Darcy. It was always he couldn't do this he couldn't do that and I was one of them but as soon as he got his freedom to build a cup contending franchise some people are like "oh I've never doubted him the whole time." That's just bullshit. Everyone hated the guy, hell everyone and I mean roughly 99.9% of us were calling for Darcy's head when Pegula's introductory presser was on and everyone was pissed when Pegula announced Regier would be returning as Sabres GM. All in all it's aight if you disagree with what I'm saying but literally everyone on this board hated Darcy before his recent moves.

You're just plain wrong. Pretty much as usual.

There have been countless debates on these boards about Darcy. Some people thought he should be gone no matter what, other people thought he was hamstrung by ownership. Go back and read.

Oh, here, look at all the people who had no problem with Darcy staying. Yes, some people wanted him to go, and may still do, but plenty of folks were fine with him staying.

Um...we already went over this. You need to look no further than Gr8 abd Beth to find pre-Pegula, Darcy cheerleaders. There were plenty of Darcy haters but also a lot of people who wanted to give him a chance and thought he'd do better under a new owner. So....yeah you're wrong.

I mean this is just from the first two and a half pages of a six page thread...from one small hockey forum. 99.9% huh? Failing to believe.

 People always try to say this when popular opinion appears to suddenly shift away from what they have believed. It's likely that it was always either split down the middle or actually weighed in the opposite direction, but, you know.

Point is, Regier owns the NHL. I think at this point, we can all agree on that.

Hahaha...no. Go back and try and find a single post where I was clamoring for Darcy's head or saying that I hated him. Stop trying to lump everyone into your train of thought all because you turned out to be wrong.

I was going to post a sarcastic site for this discussion, but it turns out there actually IS a site called www.youarewrong.org

I don't necessarily like all of Kanye's songs but I do find him to be pretty hilarious.

 Same here, I always defended Darcy. Nobody's perfect, but he's been a hell of a drafter despite misses like Persson and Zagrapan. Plus he's pulled off some great trades as well

Not to quash the feel-good moment, but maybe we should at least wait for the puck to drop before we cast judgment on Darcy, favorable or unfavorable. Things are often not what they seem...

Or we can celebrate he's making nice moves right now.

This is the GM's time of year. Once the season starts, it's on the players and coaches.
