Alright, its a little early but I won't have time to do this tomorrow morning/afternoon. 14 games scheduled for today so lets get cracking.
Carolina hosting Vancouver, do I even have to post anything about this? 5-17-5 record for Carolina, unless they start a 10 game win streak I think I'll just ignore their games from now on. Kinda makes me sad to say I live in the same state as this team.
Boston hosting Toronto, Boston coming off a 5-1 loss to Montreal (A big thanks to Montreal for helping us out there). Toronto has been riding a little hot streak, lets hope a more rested Toronto team can hold the Bruins at 33 points. Should be an interesting game to see how Phil Kessel does against his former team.
New Jersey hosting Detroit, I know you guys will probably disagree with me here, but I hope Jersey kicks the shit out of Detroit (just my personal feelings for this game). Either way I will be happy with the outcome of this game, I'd like to see Jersey lose and put the Sabres in a better position, but I can't hide my hatred for Detroit. Jersey is coming off a win Friday night against Tampa Bay. Detroit has been bitten a little by the injury bug, Kronwall, Filppula, Franzen, and Lilja are all ruled out for this game.
Philly hosting Washington, this will be Ovechkin's 2nd game missed due to his suspension. This will also be the first game for Philly behind their new coach Laviolette, unfortunantly I don't think we can hope for much help from Philly to gain ground on Washington who leads the East with 40 points (6 above Buffalo, who has 3 games in hand).
Florida hosting Atlanta, Florida hasn't had much success in the past couple weeks, only winning once in their past 7 games. They may be without Vokoun again tonight due to his unfortunate injury while playing against the Thrashers last monday night. Atlanta is currently seated 6th in the conference with 31 points (only 3 behind Buffalos 34).
Pittsburgh hosting Chicago, currently 2 of the leagues top teams, Chicago has had trouble as of late, dropping 3 of the last 4 games. The addition of Marian Hossa has provided a boost to their offensive production but havn't had much success turning that into victories. Pittsburgh has seen a big jump in production from Crosby (

) in recent weeks, which has helped them win 6 of their last 7 games and are currently tied for 1st in the conference with Washington with 40 points. Hopefully Chicago can help reverse these trends and snap Pittsburghs 3 game winning streak.
Tampa Bay hosts NY Islanders, the Isles despite a very slow start have brought themselves right back into contention with a little help from John Tavares and Matt Moulson, while Tampa Bay continues their offensive struggles and continue to fall down in the standings, they are currently on a 3 game losing streak. This game will be a battle for 8th place in the conference with the Isles at 29 points, and Tampa Bay right behind them with 28.
Phoenix hosting Ottawa, Ottawa currently on a 5 game road trip, with 4 games against western conference teams, have not had any success since a 2-1 victory at home over Columbus and have not won away from home since Oct. 28th against Florida. They have lost their past 3 to Boston, San Jose, and LA, while Phoenix has enjoyed a 3 game win streak. Ottawa is currently 7th in the conference with 30 points and hopefully continue to struggle away from Scotiabank Place.
There, finally finished, I don't know how I managed to type all of this as I'm already half asleep, so I apologize for any typos or misspelled words, but I'm not going back to proofread any of this.
