toronto goalies sure do have a problem with beach balls, thats for sure |

They have absolutely no offense. We may not beat them 5-2 anymore but a 2-0 win is still a win.

You can have the best defense in the world but if you still can't score against others, you aren't going to win either. I tend to agree, which would make a Kaberle deal for a couple of pieces (forward and picks/prospects) all the more realistic if Burke chooses to add anymore pieces. If I were Darcy it would look something like this: To Toronto: MacArthur 1st rd pick 2010 2nd rd pick 2011 or MacArthur Gerbe 1st rd pick 2010 4th rd pick 2010 For Kaberle You could use any combination, pick your poison, but is Kaberle worth it?

That doesn't work on cap numbers alone.
Buffalo has $1.16M in cap space.
Moving MacArthur frees up $1.4M.
Kaberle's hit is $4.250M. You'd still be $1.7M short.
Beyond that, it doesn't make sense. Buffalo already has two defenseman sitting in the press box every night. It make no sense to move a forward and put someone else upstairs.

We need to move some defenders for forwards more than getting more defensemen.

Are you crazy that would be overkill for Kaberle and if I am Burke I make that deal in a second. Kaberle isn't worth more than a 1st rounder and a player of MacArthur's caliber. Giving up 2 picks and 2 players for him would be stupid. We don't need Kaberle we need some offensive help. This team already has a decent defensive corp. They need a big name offensive player and I'm not talking about some old @ss vet!

This team needs a big name offensive player and not another defenseman. This team has no big name offensive player up front. Connolly is their best forward point wise and Vanek isn't scoring at the pace that he is capable of. Roy and Stafford really need to pick their games up if this team is going to go anywhere. Buffalo already has solid goaltending with Miller and has a decent defensive corp. They need to score more goals and stop relying on Miller to hold them in it every game.

Burke is such a moron how can this guy manage to pull of two deals like that? As a flames fan I would pissed like hell @Sutter. The only piece that comes close to Phaneuf would have been a combination of Kessel + Gustavson.
Giguere he isn't the warrior he once was but still a very good goaltender and an incredible mentor for Gus. Ducks are stupid they could have waited till deadline to get better offers.
