I'm all for generalizations when I say that anyone that believes FOX is a viable news source is an idiot.
What do you see wrong with the news anchors on Fox News and the stories they report?
Specifically, and what anchors?
Ed, we've gone around about this before, and if my memory is correct, you've agreed with me how the Fox News Echo Chamber works. I've said all along that the opinion shows are just that, opinion shows. However, when comments made on the opinion shows are then cited as 'news' on the news shows, how can you say they're 'reporting news'?
Are all their reporters corrupt? No. But, do you feel that what happened in this specific episode is responsible journalism?
While the President continues the Q&A, they cut away, Trace Gallagher gives a brief commentary, and then they bring in Bret Baier to analyze the exchange....while the exchange is continuing!
Now, if you want to nitpick, Gallagher talked about Obama 'lecturing' the Republicans. One could argue that the 'lecturing' thing is a Republican talking point post SotU address, but I'll let that go in this analysis.
About 10 minutes later, Fox brings on Rep. Peter King, R-NY, who was on to complain about the 9/11 trial location in NYC.....WHILE THE PRESIDENT WAS STILL TALKING TO THE REPUBLICAN CAUCUS!!
Now, once they cut away, I wouldn't expect them to come back to the Q&A, but why cut away in the first place? Why did Fox decide that there was nothing else relevant to report, but the other networks stayed with it? This was news, this wasn't opinion.
