I'm literally considering offering 25 bucks for someone to come over and do my laundry for me...it wouldn't take more than 2 or 3 hours but I just hate doing it.

make sure you weigh the gas mileage into your money making equation. he is offering 25 bucks and if you have to drive to a good distance from Depew that is going to cost you a pretty penny in gas. I mean people do it for less, but figured you'd want to make money.

I think he's closer to Buffalo, rather than Fredonia. This could work. ;)

The dog behaved well again today while I was gone.. Moved the floor mat by the door to the middle of the room, but I don't think he chewed it. 8-)

International travel makes absolutely no sense. Including six hours of layovers, according to the time of arrival versus time of departure it'll only take me eleven hours to fly from Moscow to Amsterdam to Detroit (YAY I love the bathrooms at that airport and I hope I can go through the cool tunnel) to Buffalo. Five hours in the air. Yeah, OK. Haha. I have no idea how long I'm actually going to be in the air. Hopefully there are some cool flights to be had somewhere in the trip, like the 2:00 am one from Philly to Buffalo in which everyone was awesome and talking to each other and the whole plane was Buffalo pride, or the one from NYC in which I sat behind the mayor and his son and did a whole lot of eavesdropping when he explained to his son everything he did there, which taught me how much being the mayor of Buffalo sucks.

OKAY...be prepared for a tl;dr post..

Well my Miller Team USA jersey still hasn't come in the mail. It was supposed to be backordered until the 15th. So of course on the 15th when I didn't receive it, I called shop.NHL.com's customer service, and was told that it's still backordered until the 25th, but I should receive it before then. Well today is the 25th and still no jersey, and still no e-mail telling me that my order has been shipped out. SO, I called again and the guy was telling me that when I first placed my order on January 31st, that a new shipment of USA jerseys came in the mail, and that my order may have been processed with that shipment... But if not, there's a new shipment coming in a few weeks. But get this...apparently after 30 days of an order still on backorder, your order automatically gets cancelled. And I won't be able to re-order my jersey because it's no longer available to purchase because it's obviously sold out. So even though they are receiving a new shipment of jerseys in a few weeks, I won't be able to get one because my order is going to get cancelled in a few days.

So of course I opened a can of whoop ass and was all, "GET ME MY JERSEY NOW!!!!" But of couse I was courteous and cordial, but I wasn't going to back down when they were like, "We apologize, miss, but unfortunately we won't be able to save your order after 30 days and you won't be able to re-order it. But there is a possibilty your order was processed with the earlier shipment." So basically they are telling me if my order wasn't processed with the earlier shipment, sah sahry for me but I'm shit out of luck. So I had the supervisor e-mail their vendor to make sure that I am getting my jersey...apparently my order is at the top of the list to be shipped out, it's just that when it's been 30 days since I placed my order, my spot in line will vanish, because my order will automatically be cancelled.

So of course I expressed my frustration, told them how I could have ordered the jersey elsewhere, but I chose NHL.com and since I placed my order pratically a month ago I should be one of the first in line to have a jersey shipped out to me, regardless of the "30 day rule" or whatever it is. That's bullshit...it should be first come, first serve. Hypothetically speaking, a person who placed the same order as me, but 3 weeks after me, will be able to get their jersey but I won't. How does that make sense?

I better get my damn Shmilz jersey, instead of some stupid bandwagoner USA/Miller fan who probably hasn't even heard of him before a few weeks ago!

That is bullshit, Caro. I would email the Consumerist if I was you. I can guarantee if you do and they like your story, this won't be the last time shop.nhl.com will hear about it.

Caro, may I offer a suggestion to ease your nerves?

River City Sports' Team USA shop has had the navy jerseys and white jerseys in stock this entire drought.

Fly, you should still be on the phone right now, and do not get off of it until you have a confirmation number and shipment number of your jersey. Do not get off the phone with them on a hope or prayer, because they don't give a fuck about you at all and will happily let your order go away..
